Is Jonathan Wheatley the right man to get Aston Martin back on track in 2026?

IMO Wheatley is a nice guy but not tough enough for Stroll. Horner is the right man for the job

I think Wheatley's softly spoken nature belies his toughness. He wouldn't have lasted so long at Red Bull if he had any weakness!

I think aston martin pays lot of money , its a high reward and high pressure job , attrition is extremely high

You are encouraging Lawrence Stroll to do what he always does; throw more money at it! At some point, the cost cap will catch up with them.

Not sure how much money will be left over given the payroll they've already built up

Surely his Audi contract requires him to take gardening leave. Why is Lawrence Stroll keeping Andy Cowell out of the loop? Can't Honda can fix their own issues; eventually? The technical issues are what is holding this team back. That is what Newey and the other engineers are in charge of. The TP is stuck with all of the external issues.

I'm stunned by this, I have to say. I rate Wheatley highly but why is he leaving Audi when they're doing well?!

Money and location . He can go back home and live with his wife
