Gearbox or engine source of AM vibration issue

What do you think Christian could do to resolve the issues at Aston Martin, or is it just a case of someone with vast experience in running a championship winning team? Although you could say the same for Newey and his car design...

Gary Anderson rubbished Honda claim that vibration from gearbox. The forcing frequency is shaft revs x # teeth on gear. So gearbox vibration much higher frequency than engine until we consider camshaft drive. So could be engine or gearbox. To resolve need to identify actual vibration frequency and then locate the element that resonates at said frequency.

Do you think this is something they could manage to figure out in the next four weeks? Or do you think this will continue for a lot longer into the season? If so how long will it be until Lance and Fernando say "enough"?
