Are Aston Martin below 'F1 standards' right now, or is Guenther Steiner being unfair?

Guenther is not totally wrong. Remember how the FOM thought that Michael Andretti's team would not bring value to F1?

Lawrence Stroll is definitely NOT getting his moneys worth!

Below F1 standard might be a bit too far, but Aston Martin can't complain about the criticism they're getting. They were supposed to join the elite this year but they're cut adrift in a manner we haven't seen for years

New regulations can be tough to adapt to, but what is happening at Aston Martin right now is embarrassing. Glued to the back of the grid, barely completing 10 laps at some races - serious conversations need to be had

This idea that one major upgrade will make them competitive in the midfield just doesn't seem realistic either, it's what we always hear when a team falls miles below expectations

There is always at least one team that struggles at the start of a new regulatory era, and in 2026 that is Aston Martin due in part to Honda's problems with their new power unit. If Aston Martin's plight persists when they and Honda finally upgrade the AMR26, then Lawrence Stroll will be asking some tough questions.

I think Steiner has a point. Aston Martin have been bitterly disappointing and they really need to step up their game ASAP!
