None of them came from openplay messi takes corners , Ronaldo never took a corner in his life crazy how u did not mention it

dale.odonnell3w ago

Happy I got the witness his greatness, even though he helped spoil two Champions League finals for me.

petrabravencova13w ago

😂 A cheeky one could be: Such a shame Messi retired without ever managing to lead Argentina to a World Cup win. 😂🏆🇦🇷

daviescallum423w ago

This is sad, but I can take it. Even tho I don’t watch MLS, when he retires full stop, that will be heartbreaking. The undisputed GOAT, and it’s not even close

🐐🐐🐐- need I say more?

donaghcorby19974w ago

A legend of the game. FIFA should honour him in some way.

The GOAT 🐐

kyle.dimond4w ago

If we could just scrap a couple games from this year’s tournament, what a final run he had. Those moments will probably be forgotten anyways

freddie4w ago

End of an era, still think he’s got one WC left in him! 😭

shamanth.jayaram4w ago

The greatest of all time. There’ll never be another player like him 🐐

lee.connor4w ago

Great player and probably the best ever but I just cannot praise or go overboard on any Argentinian players. Helped massively by officials in recent years IMO.

immanuelmojomojo4w ago

Never again will there be another Messi. Man of greatness but meek and gentle. No arrogance, humble and very accommodating.

leeclarke05084w ago

That's Argentina knackered then

redunited274w ago

Argentina's hero and icon forever

david.comerford4w ago

See you in 2030 pal

markmarston4w ago

Best moment was that final in 2022… legendary. Been a joy to watch 🐐

tom.procter4w ago

No real surprise but what an incredible international career. Hope the decision means he can shelve full retirement for a bit longer! 🐐

antonymmartin844w ago

The best to ever do it, no doubt, but the right time to call it a day internationally

vatsal4w ago

Shame it ended with a finals loss but a fairytale ending is not needed for what has been a fairytale career. PS- Ronaldo, take note!

chillout4w ago

No surprise here. I somehow doubt Argentina will feature in future World Cup Finals unless they can unearth another gem like Messi. In my view, he was the greatest player ever on the international stage (the last two World Cups proved that for me); better than Maradona, and better even than Pele.

aryansurajc4w ago

Saddest news of the day

jordan.harris4w ago

It’s a shame that he was anonymous in his final appearance, but no question for me he’s the greatest of all time! The 2022 World Cup confirmed it

jamesshearman234w ago

The GOAT 🐐 We will never see a better player

billy.meyers4w ago

It was inevitable really, but what a way to go out despite the result against Spain - securing his position as not only the record goalscorer at the World Cup, but also grabbing the most assists as well. Ridiculous legacy 👏🏻

adnan.riaz4w ago

The BEST to ever do it. He has nothing left to prove. What a player. 👏

seanfisher4w ago

We all knew it was coming, but it still hits so hard! End of an era! Glad he got his one World Cup trophy before hanging up the boots

callum_boyle4w ago

This really is the beginning of the end 😢 What an incredible player and servant to his country. He managed to win them all back after they’d nearly given up on him and he is the only player that has ever and will ever eclipse Maradona for Argentina. Seeing him life the WC is one of my fave moments.

aaditya.krishnamurthy4w ago

The best to ever do it - an incredible legacy with Argentina and will never be usurped by anyone. Enhorabuena, Leo

peter.lynch4w ago

Wowwww 😭 end of an era, the best to ever do it, what a miss he’ll be for Argentina and world football!
