Lionel Messi & Lamine Yamal are the stars of their nations but aside from them, who could be a matchwinner in the World Cup final and why?

peter.lynch2mo ago

Lautaro Martinez let’s goooo!

Mikel Merino…

Spain play so well as a unit but I think Rodri has been the star. He wasn’t bad for City in the season just gone but it feels like he put on that Spain shirt and rewound the clock to pre-injury. Cheat code of a player

gorriejonathan2mo ago

Rodri really starting to look back to his best now

markmarston2mo ago

Yep - he’s never relied on pace so he’ll continue to perform at a high level even as he gets older

jameslloyd14.jl2mo ago

He might not win it by scoring a goal but Rodri has been the key behind Spain’s success. I thought he was well past his best but he has been incredible this summer

jonny2mo ago

You just know he’s dropping off a cliff after this World Cup though

kyle.archer2mo ago

Mikel Oyarzabal has been huge for Spain throughout the World Cup, and their hopes for the final will hinge on his impact in the box

josh.barker2mo ago

Spain are just the better side anyway, don’t need to rely on one player to step up

jonny2mo ago

Yamal has been so disappointing this tournament but he’s been warming up for this one. He’ll have Tagliafico on strings. Spain should be out of sight before Argentina can stage another late comeback. Although I do think it will be Oyarzabal who wins it for Spain

markmarston2mo ago

Yamal was out injured since April tbf… he’s been unfit for practically the whole tournament

markmarston2mo ago

Enzo Fernandes has a knack for it doesn’t he…

eoin2mo ago

Julian Alvarez has a worldie in him, I think Spain will win but too much dismissing of Argentina in these comments. They have players who can hurt you

jonny2mo ago

On the pitch he’s so likeable, shame he’s such a twat off it

callum_boyle2mo ago

I think the key for the two sides lies in the midfield. Leandro Paredes for Argentina and Fabian Ruiz for Spain. Paredes is great at the nitty gritty stuff while Ruiz makes Spain tick to the point where he is keeping Pedri out of the side. I can’t wait to see who comes out on top in that battle between the two

jonny2mo ago

Pedri is keeping himself out the side, been really poor.

jordan.harris2mo ago

Passing of the torch final, with Yamal finally stealing the show

eoin2mo ago

He has to step up, otherwise there's always going to be an asterisk on his first of what I assume will be multiple world cups
