[DELETED] Here are some interesting stats that augur well for England tonight:

freddie2mo ago

All second half goals, Jude and a Kane brace ;)

freddie2mo ago

Am I crazy in thinking we win this 3-0 comfortably. Don’t think they are all that!

dale.odonnell2mo ago

They’re the world champions tbf!

chillout2mo ago

What a Kane gets first half hat-trick ?

charlesjones2mo ago

It’ll come down to a moment or just who turns up. The closer we get the more confident I am that England can win. But you just can’t call it.

chillout2mo ago

The problem is England do this all the time - they mug us all in and get us thinking we can win it (and then go out with a whimper). Kane has really got to big up and make up tonight for all his big game international failures.

Tuchel has built this team to play best without the ball against the big teams but I just don’t think the quality is there. Wingers are poor and defence has been shaky

jamie.brown822mo ago

But I think it is in these games where we’ll see that come to fruition. Physically we should dominate Argentina!

Stats mean nothing when Messi turns up 👀

chillout2mo ago

We have to make a new stat - and make sure he doesn’t. Maybe his legs will have gone by the time 8pm comes - he has played a lot of football and is no spring chicken.

will.butcher2mo ago

Anderson has to man mark Messi, his engine is excellent and he needs to stay within an inch every second of the match

jordan.harris2mo ago

Kalvin would absolutely pocket Messi, wouldn’t he

jordan.harris2mo ago

I think it comes down to how well England keep their cool. Argentina will want to make the game as horrible as they can

johnverrall112mo ago

Romero red card will be one of the all time great moments in English football history

chillout2mo ago

Maybe you are right - but the Argentina of old were dirty, cheating, aggressive teams - I don’t think this is the case more recently.

[DELETED] Tuchel has never lost a knockout tie in normal time when leading a team from the quarter finals onward in major cup football. England was won its only other World Cup semi final played on a Wednesday - beating Portugal 2-1 in 1966. On the only other occasion England faced Argentina in the World Cup knockout stages, England beat them and won the tou

Southgate's England definitely lose this. Tuchel's England? I'm not so sure. Thing is Argentina can do pretty and nasty equally well. They know how to win these games, that's a huge thing in marquee fixtures.

johnverrall112mo ago

While I wish it was true, Tuchel definitely has lost knockout games. He lost an FA Cup final and a CL semi final both in normal time. He won’t be losing tonight though!
