What did you think of the viral footage of Francesco Bagnaia and Fabio di Giannantonio at Misano?

Pecco said in an interview with The Talking Helmet that the media events were getting completely out of hand. In other sports, it’s a single media scrum pre- and post-event, not 20 or 30 separate journalists asking the same questions over and over. I’ve noticed it as well; too many things pulling the riders in different directions, when they just wanna ride!

It's part and parcel of the trade. Slip ups can lead to annoying outcomes. But I agree 💯 that there is no 'private conversation ' in a media room! 😅 I see a lot of people in pitlane and in the garages also cover their mouths with their hands so to not reveal even what their lip movements may reveal. Discretion is important 👀

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a private conversation in a media room. I do think it can be taken out of context. What “settings” or “set up?” Electronics? Brakes? Either way, not an appropriate venue for the conversation, where they know every eye, ear and mic is on them.

We will never experience the pressure these guys are constantly under & they have to be so careful what they say & where. There is no context Pecco.... you plainly said what was heard & you should know better but he is obviously very frustrated to make this slip up. His woes IMO are psychological & he needs a massive reset but where & when? Aprilia?

I agree that Pecco’s problems appear to be psychological. What are the chances of the same anomaly occurring in both of his bikes, and only his?

Context is missing. Content is incomple/blurred. Usual over-enthusiastic media. There's minimal detail. Sensationalism creation out of nothing is getting these media people really desperate right now? The forums are having bezerk number of posts on this content in most places.

It's hard to say whether or not it should have been shared. But it's not as if it was one line. It was an extended conversation, so it's tough for Bagnaia to argue that his words were taken out of context

I agree with Bagnaia that the clip should not have been shared by DAZN, due to it not being part of their usual post-race questioning. At the same time, Bagnaia should have known better than to air his frustrations in the vicinity of microphones.
