I think a double LLP is the right punishment - he ruined the Sprint for both Acosta and Diggia, so that seems fair enough.

I don't think anybody should be contesting the penalty including Alex himself. And he is not saying anything about it either. Looked like a Franky Morbidelli move 😜. Bad luck for Diggia for being at the wrong place and bad luck for Acosta too. But I think I saw something in the moment that nobody else noticed. Bastianini was ahead of Acosta at the time 🤯

Alex Marquez cannot have any issues with receiving a penalty for causing a crash that took two riders out of the Motegi Sprint. He also cannot argue with it being a double long lap penalty, as that was the same penalty that Johann Zarco received for his Catalan GP crash
