Who should Israel Adesanya fight next?

'The Last Stylebender' refused to retire after suffering his fourth straight loss at UFC Seattle.

Always a little surreal, watching fighters who were once coming up, the hot new contender, reach the point where everyone just wants to see them retire. Happens to everyone, but it's always a little bittersweet.

He's just not fighting smart like he used to. He had Pyfer right where he wanted him and then chose to brawl..

Retire

Adesanya should focus more on defence at his age if he wants to continue. He’s reflexes are no longer as sharp as before and he doesn’t have super knock out power. Any opponent at this stage will give him a real challenge.

He's not the fighter he was, because getting older takes that spark away from you. To be able to be a top contender past age 35 will make you a early retirement with Parkinsons at age 45.

It's a shame that fighters don't look at history and see what's going to happen to them. SO many great careers have a bunch of unnecessary losses at the end that were entirely avoidable

I dont find his fights interesting anymore. He says he's not retiring but I dont want to watch him fight anymore, this fights last night against Joe Pfyfer was BORING. NO THANKS, IZZY! ITS TIME TO GIVE IT UP!

I'd say it's time to retire, go make some money with boxing exhibitions, face Anderson Siva

Retire

jamie.theodosi6mo ago

This would be my choice too. Do you think he’s already somewhat tarnished his legacy?

basztoronald24246mo ago

Not sure, but he shouldn't be a gate keeper.

jamie.theodosi6mo ago

I feel like the UFC should take the decision into their hands, can’t keep letting him get finished by upcoming contenders

jamie.theodosi6mo ago

He MUST retire. He made a comparison to Anderson Silva during fight week and how no one remembers Anderson's final run in the UFC, but they do. And they'll remember his if he keeps going.

dr.cheyno5mo ago

Yeah we definitely do remember. After the leg break Silva was tentative and scared to throw kicks. It was a really sad decline for one of the best fighters the UFC had seen. It's never good to see a great fighter decline like that.

harvey.leonard6mo ago

Think I'm at the point now where I have no desire to see him fight again. But if he does, hopefully they give him a grappler who won't KO him.

kyle.dimond6mo ago

His style makes it hard to think of fun fights for him. Regardless of who he faces, I'd like to see Izzy fight a three rounder next if he's certain he wants to continue. Put him on a big numbered card.

Yousri Belgaroui. Book it!
