CHANGE MY MIND: Michael 'Venom' Page would be better off outside of the UFC ๐Ÿ”Š

aeboyles6mo ago

MVP has IMO always been overrated. He's not elite level UFC but he's been excellent at the next tier down. Yes he should be released. Nothing exciting there.

Certainly he should be released. There are other options for skill, personality and watchability, and there are new fighters coming along every day!

Yes MVP can f off!! He bashes the company that he works for and produces a STINKER!!! Yes MVP should go fight for MVP!!!

His age, that loss, no impact in the UFC, yes.

harvey.leonard6mo ago

I wish he joined the UFC earlier in his career

Hard to argue with! I'm still an MVP fan but it feels unlikely that the UFC are going to give him the fights he wants after how this played out.

The way the UFC has been handling their talent recently, I really wouldn't be surprised to see MVP cut, especially after he went off on fighter pay and then dropped an all-time stinker. I think the relationship is tethered and maybe he'd be better picking up paydays in Karate Combat or something.

This I think is the main point for me. When he started talking about fighter pay, I thought that comment would back fire eventually. The ufc and Dana don't like that type of talk. They like yes men and tend to hold grudges against people who speak their minds. Look at guys like Randy Couture, Francis Ngannou and Mark Hunt for prime examples of this.

harvey.leonard6mo ago

In terms of should he be cut because of that performance, absolutely not. But at this point in his career, there are better things for him away from the UFC. They won't book him correctly

jordan.ellis6mo ago

Hmm I still think he's a top level fight, that was just a bizarre matchup.
