What's next for Gable Steveson after that shock KO at UFC 331?

adnan.riaz14d ago

Wow. This was not the news I was expecting to wake up to. Goddamn, and it wasn’t even like it was pure fluke. A lot of soul-searching for him at this point. I think he needs to work out if he wants to stay in MMA full time instead of dipping in and out with his wrestling. I think the main thing is for him to build his confidence again.

Numbers for the leading organization in a global sport should never be as low as $12,000 or $14,000. The main issue will always be the embarrassing base pay the UFC gives newcomers

Can’t believe that… main event in Los Angeles with a $7bn tv deal and your getting 5/600k??? Mines camp cost and taxes… it’s actually insane how badly paid these athletes are. One day… the UFC will get swallowed up by a rival company who pay their fighters properly… Eddie Hearn? Watch this space 👀

Who would you back to win and why: Arman Tsarukyan or Justin Gaethje?

adnan.riaz14d ago

I would go with Justin. Way too many people write him off. 🤷‍♂️

markmarston14d ago

Arman… younger fighter who’s ready for a title reign I think

jordan.ellis15d ago

Arman wins that fight and Gaethje knows it

AND STILL! VAN BEATS PANTOJA!

Joshua Van retains his flyweight title courtesy of 49–46, 49–47, and 50–45 scorecards from the cageside judges.

Pantoja was entirely too emotional. Van was lightning fast but Pantoja was also so relentless. That was a great fight. Im on the fence if I think Pantojas time has passed. He looked older and slower but Van makes lots of guys look slow. I doubt Pantoja will ever touch gold again so I hope he calls it a career. Definitely a Legend and HOF'r
