I don't think there are two clear contenders that should be fighting for it. Hence why they've booked Ankalaev vs Khalil and Jiri vs Costa is said to be in the works. I'd assume whoever gets the most impressive win in those fights will fight Ulberg when he's back

The division shouldnt for Ulberg. If he is out for a year he should vacate, and let Jiri and Ank fight in Aug/Sep which would be UFC 331.

I don't love Jiri fighting for a belt again after a KO loss but we have seen both Jiri and Hill vacate that same belt due to injuries so I think it's a possibility.

Totally against another interim belt. It’s has to make sense and this one doesn’t. What let’s put Jiri in it after getting ko’s. Shit and I’m a fan of Jiri’s but it’s just used to make the fight card sound more important.

I'm not against an interim title fight but there aren't any clear cut contenders right now. The interim should be to keep the top guys active. We can't have an interim title fight with two guys coming off losses. I say let the division breathe for for a good few months and then decide what's next.

I don't see much point in interim belts unless there are clear contenders. That would mean the champ being absent holds things up. In Ulberg's case, his recovery time should be used by the UFC to set up a worthy challenger. Number one contender fight over meaningless interim title fight for me.

Khalil just got KO'd by Jiri and Jan ain't won in 4. Realistically Ankalaev will probs get the shot, but I don't think he should after curling up against Pereira.

They probably will LMFAO even though its dumb af, jiri has had too many shots already and Costa isnt even ranked that high, Jan vs Khalil is a better interim fight imo
