The Brooklyn Nets intend to pursue Austin Reaves in free agency. Is this a good deal for Reaves and the Nets?
The Nets intend to make a four-year, $178.5 million offer, per Dan Woike

Jordi is a good coach but he’s going to dislike a player like Reaves because we’ve seen it - high volume scorer who plays no defense. Look at what happened to Cam Thomas. Bad move but the Nets need a trusted vet for the youngsters, especially Demin, who has shown star potential

$45m per year for Reaves is bonkers! He’s a $30-35m player

Deserves his payday but the Nets are poor and seemingly always will be. But NBA players don’t really seem to care, they are very open about ‘securing the bag’ so good luck to him.

If he wants to be a big numbers, no wins guy then great move. If he wants to compete in the playoffs, bad move

That would be a great deal for Reaves. He deserves the bag after his journey in the league. But is he a marquee needle mover? I'm not sure he is
