Is Rory McIlroy now a better golfer than Scottie Scheffler?
The world number one has not been at his very best this year...

No, Scottie is the best in the world and he'll prove it once again throughout 2026

No but he's clearly narrowed the gap since 2024

Not sure either definitely narrowed the gap. They don't play enough against each other except it seems Majors to be sure. In Majors playing terrific doesn't normally means you will win

Very tough debate, but right now I think so yeah!

No. I still think Scottie is the best in the world and will prove it in future weeks. Rory benefitted from getting the better tee times in the first few days.

Ok wasnt going to say anything but Scottie complained about tee times yesterday. The tee times have been like this for ever its the luck of the draw. Ok if Scottie had won would Rory have said the same , I am sure not.

Yes! But I think Scottie proved a real point by finishing second with his B game this week too
