Calvin Bassey full of praise for Arbeloa here. Maybe we’re all missing something with him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVVw6s-qGOE&t=1s&pp=0gcJCf4LAYcqIYzv

Isn’t he supposed to have his favourites? Maybe Bassey is just one of them

Needs a bit more time for me. Has been a little bit unlucky in certain moments

I take a lot of what footballers say publicly with a pinch of salt. Still believe Eddie Howe was the best option for Fulham in the summer.

Yeah agreed. They’re all SO media trained that nothing they say in interviews can ever be taken seriously. It’s all a pantomime

By a mile, didn’t quite line up in terms of when he left Newcastle sadly, and I think he’s in line for a much bigger job

I’m sure Arbeloa is a good coach, but at the same time I wouldn’t expect a player to come out and say ‘He’s awful, get rid’

True. Maybe he’s just playing the game for the media
