What do we think Wolves fans?👀

Blades and Wednesday genuinely hate each other and Burnley and Blackburn have a serious serious disdain for each other as well. Always find the Midlands type derbies seem to blend into one but probably because I don’t know the area.

I really do think this is one of the best derbies. Was class in the cup last season

An underrated derby is the one between Real Betis and Sevilla. You can see how much the game means to the fans

Exeter City vs Plymouth Argyle 😎

GRECIANNSSSSSS

Clearly not the biggest derby in the world but I do love Pompey/Saints. The north London derby used to be the best regular derby to watch in terms of quality of the match. Less said about Tyne/Wear the better as Sunderland always win 😭

Barca v Real ?

callum_boyle1w ago

Overrated. Boring fanbases, tickets swallowed up by tourists paying extortionate amounts. Too corporate and doesn’t feel like the fans actually hate each other. More of a rivalry

harveyleonard991w ago

I’d back it as being underrated. Doesn’t get anywhere near the kind of discourse that a lot of other derbies get

You won’t find a two-club city as culturally divided as Glasgow

pranav.shahaney1w ago

Exactly. You can see how personal it gets between the two sides because it’s such a deep-rooted rivalry that transcends geography. There’s culture, religion, history, violence involved. A derby like none other

Agree with this. It’s another level to pretty much every other football derby, at least in Britain.

chillout1w ago

I think most fans see this for what it is - an important derby for local fans, but it doesn’t transcend UK football like The Old Firm, Mersey or Old Trafford derbies ? What do fans think are the biggest derbies in football and why ?

callum_boyle1w ago

Celtic vs Rangers, Boca vs River, Wisła Kraków vs Cracovia, Olympiacos vs AEK Athens, Dinamo Zagreb vs Hajduk Split, Crvena Zvezda vs Partizan, Ajax vs Feyenoord. All probably the biggest and best derbies too. Genuine hatred towards each other and blockbuster in the stands.

Think the old firm has lost a lot of its spark, probably because it feels like they play each other 6 million times a year
