About as embarrassing as it can get as Spurs are well beaten by Brentford on the opening day. What went wrong?

eoin1mo ago

Oof, terrible performance, plenty of work for de zerbi this week

Sell Bergvall immediately. Just not good enough

jhedley511mo ago

Not the time to panic yet it just needs time for the newbies to settle in and De Zerbi to finish building his team. Give it a few more weeks before we start doom layering.

Spurs are so mentally fragile it is unreal. They have so much big money signings and experience on the pitch, yet it is the same old crap.

jordan.harris1mo ago

Really didn’t expect this start! Hope Spurs turn it round but de Zerbi has work to do to build up the confidence again

After spending soo much damn!!!!

caleb.sage1mo ago

One word: Spursy.

charlesjones1mo ago

I’ll do some simple maths for you guys. The team that finished 17th Who made marquee signings from the teams that finished 18th and 12th Were beaten by the team that finished 9th. Why are we shocked again?

antonymmartin841mo ago

Shocking. Not unexpected though, it’s Tottenham after all

Next up in the league - Newcastle. All of a sudden that’s a must win game. Brentford are a decent team, but De Zerbi wasn’t brought in to start like this.

david.comerford1mo ago

Dreadful performance but wouldn't worry too much just yet. This team is going to look completely different in a few weeks

dancoombs1mo ago

Brentford are a good team credit to them. Lots of new faces at Spurs, a team doesn’t gel overnight

brogan1mo ago

Reality is we still have half the team out so not overly concerned. Expected more but best form of defence is attack and you’re not gonna do much with that front three

callum_boyle1mo ago

That was remarkably bad 😳

jonathan.gorrie1mo ago

A Tonali stinker on his debut? Justice

shamanth.jayaram1mo ago

Everything. It’s time people just accept that Spurs will always be Spurs. No manager they bring and no player they sign will change anything.
