Who are the most influential players in Nottingham Forest’s history and why ? John Robertson, John McGovern, Trevor Francis, Stuart Pearce, Des Walker, Viv Anderson, Roy Keane ? Birtles, Woodcock, Burns ? The list seems endless.

Remember Peter wifth the centre forward clough sold to villa the year before we won the European title and he then won the title for villa the year after

Every forest player ran their socks off for Brian.Brian proved to all of them exactly what you get for it

Stuart Pearce, all day long. Showed loyalty when others didn't, 12 years is almost unheard of these days! 88 goals from defence makes him the stand-out player, without a doubt.

He was the driving force for so long. No one messed with Psycho..

There's a reason why every neutral was so excited to have Forest back in the PL and it's down to players like Robertson!

I love having Forest here. I never got to see them the first time round. They’ve added so much to the a Prem

John Robertson put the football club on the map but for me as a 39-year-old, Stuart Pearce takes some beating. Stayed for years when we weren't great unlike Stan Collymore who joined Liverpool - another of the many clubs he claimed to have a soft spot for.

John Robertson immediately springs to mind as does Trevor Francis. But yeah, Robertson probably for the success. Pearce I always see at West Ham, Walker at Wednesday, and Keane at Man U. Viv Anderson is a good shout mind.

Surely Brennan Johnson is up there from a modern perspective! Helped Forest reach the prem, helped them avoid the drop, and then brought in £50m for the club to reinvest and to the next level

leeclarke05086d ago

Good shout. Sadly his dad picking fights with fans at away matches in the Prem and bashing Lewis Grabban on social media frequently tarnished him a little bit in the eyes of some fans.

I think Gibbs-White in more recent times! He’s the only Forest player to be an England international in my time watching footy 👏

hardstaff81d ago

Pearce for me. The man the animal. Psycho....

leeclarke05084d ago

Elliot Anderson?

peter.lynch6d ago

Morgan Gibbs-White 🔜 👀 the man is a baller, such a talent and so crucial to everything about Forest in recent times

charlesjones6d ago

Can’t look beyond John Robertson can you?

chillout6d ago

Francis was Britain!s first £1m player, but Robertson, Shilton (who I overlooked above) and McGovern shone in Europe.
