The 10 highest-rated films of all time, but are these really the best of the best? You tell us 👇

sherlock_b1w ago

Just asked my husband- Dirty dozen for him- on repeat 🙄 For me it’s got to be Forest Gump; one flew over the cuckoo’s nest; Patch Adams; Dam Busters; Ben Hur; last Christmas 😊

freddie1w ago

Trying my best to watch as many of these as possible! I’ve seen 5 of them! Want to watch the Godfather but it’s just so long ahah. Is it worth it?

jackgallagher1w ago

Foreign language movie wise, Memories Of Murders deserved a nod as did Another Round. Two modern classics

lee.connor1w ago

The greatest movies to just watch, don’t care about ratings are….Con Air, Demolition Man, Liar Liar, Dumb and Dumber, Cool Runnings, Anchorman, Cars, Catch me if you Can, and Air Force One. If you don’t agree, we aren’t mates 😂😂

peter.lynch1w ago

The Dark Knight disrespect here is truly baffling, have a word with yourselves! 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

harveyleonard991w ago

Hate to be that person but The Dark Knight is one of the most overrated movies of all time. I’d stick the Dune movies in the conversation for the best ever

dantowen819511w ago

Can I throw Phil Tippett’s Mad God into the mix! Just a sheer technical and artistic marvel

leeclarke05081w ago

A distinct lack of Rom-Com here... 🫣

dakir.thanveer1w ago

Matrix tops all of them! Also, how relevant the subject is today (and the future lol)

brook0101w ago

How on earth did Avatar not make this list?!? Work of art

markmarston1w ago

I’m always told how good Hacksaw Ridge is - not seen it yet

dantowen819511w ago

Reservoir Dogs beats Pulp Fiction to me 😱Pulp Fiction, as a great man once said, ‘insists upon itself’

lee.connor1w ago

Not having the Lord of the Rings films in there, at all. But I guess they have a big fandom. I’d personally put Empire Strikes Back in there. The Dark Knight arguably my favourite film of all time, just for pure repeated watchability. Never actually seen 12 Angry Men though…

eoin1w ago

Talladega Nights absolutely snubbed here

ahambly231w ago

I think A New Hope deserves a spot on the list for its sheer originality in the format. The influence it has had on pop culture and film since is second to none

dakir.thanveer1w ago

Anyone else think the IMDB ratings are massively influenced by male voters? Going by this list, I'm assuming a very huge majority of voters are male. Because most of these are very boy movies 😂 Unpopular opinion?

james.brooke1w ago

Dark Knight would just be another good film if Heath Ledger hadnt have died. That’s just the truth. Fargo should be in there, my top one

callum_boyle1w ago

Shutter island, Parasite, Goodfellas, Inglorious Basterds (better then Pulp Fiction), Fargo all exceptional films too

tom.procter1w ago

It absolutely pains me to see LOTR the Two Towers not on this list. So so underrated

callum_boyle1w ago

Inglorious Basterds is my fave Tarantino film and I’d have that in over Pulp Fiction. I do also think Parasite should be within a shout, a phenomenal film that doesn’t actually get the credit it deserves. Shutter Island also a contender - the twist in that is unreal

charlesjones1w ago

Top Gun Maverick the greatest movie ever made. No further questions

jameslloyd14.jl1w ago

Dark Knight is overrated. A great film but in no way is it better than the likes of Heat and Goodfellas

jonny1w ago

Interstellar and Inception have to be up there for me… but film is so subjective I’m sure we would all have different top 10s

markmarston1w ago

Where’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid?

dakir.thanveer1w ago

12 Angry Men is actually one of the best on the list but one I assume least people have watched

chillout1w ago

Jaws, Kill Bill I/II, The Thing (Original version), The Usual Suspects. As a kid I’ll never forget seeing Let & Let Die at the cinema with me dad (Roger Moore will always be the best Bond!).

aaditya.krishnamurthy1w ago

No Country for Old Men and Sinners belong on this list, they’re two of the best movies ever made in my opinion

josh.barker1w ago

The GOAT trilogy

markmarston1w ago

Lion King will always be my favourite film of all time. Been to West End to see the show as well, just love it.

aaditya.krishnamurthy1w ago

I’m sorry but The Dark Knight has no business being Top 3. Great movie but its irreverent disdain for its source material infuriates me to high heaven

dakir.thanveer1w ago

This list is exclusively English. Unfair to other languages IMO. It is what it is I guess

jonathan.gorrie1w ago

Godfather top for me and yes I am very basic 😂

david.comerford1w ago

Fellowship is the best LOTR film, 100%

jordan.harris1w ago

Rocky IV is the greatest film of all time, closely followed by Rocky. Shawshank Redemption is third

eoin1w ago

Id have the dark Knight at number 1, 12 Angry Men higher, get rid of pulp fiction and throw in Good Will Hunting at 2. Also think its wrong not to have at least one animated film, Inside Out or Up
