Has Daniel Farke truly surpassed Marcelo Bielsa's Elland Road legacy, or do the stats lie?
Farke's overall PPM at Leeds is 1.88, Bielsa's is only 1.61...

Marcelo was a great person, as well as a great manager. He had principles and stuck too them - and made sure his team did. He was, and is, great, in my opinion. No other manager has EVER told his team to let the opposition score a goal on a matterof priciple.

At this point in Bielsa's tenure Leeds were on the downward slide. There's a good chance of the reverse for Farke.

Look at the stats DF for sure.

Farke needs to get Leeds into Europe to surpass him I’d say

Fully agree

Farke is only here because of the work Bielsa put in. Getting Leeds promoted in 2020 was huge after 16 years out. Breaking that was so, so difficult. Farke winning promotion doesn’t compare with the help of parachute payments and a squad who had already competed in the Premier League

Not yet. Technically Farke has achieved the same as Bielsa - promotion and a solid mid-table finish, albeit from a far stronger platform To exceed Bielsa, Farke needs to get Leeds into Europe or win a cup

That's a fair target I'd say

Bielsa pulling a team consisting of Liam Cooper, Barry Douglas and Tyler Roberts (and others - with all due to respect to them) to the Championship title in 2020 is GOATED! And most probably unbeatable. Some people just don't clock how big of a deal that is! 🔥

I forgot about Tyler Roberts! No further evidence is needed to prove his greatness

Legacy? What legacy? Took Leeds up and they were back down within a couple of years and he was sacked? Basically the same as Steve Cooper at Forest but Forest actually stayed up! Bielsa’s legacy is genuinely nothing special.

Farke couldn’t have done much better, sustainable growth Bielsa got us to ninth with a squad that should, at best, finish mid-table in the Champ

I’m making a purely emotional choice with full respect for the job Daniel Farke has done. But I can’t see there ever being a more enjoyable time to be a Leeds fan than between 2018-21. If we’re not going to win major trophies, the style definitely counts for something. Love Farke but Bielsa is God

Couldn't have said it better. Bielsa's impact goes beyond numbers isn't it! The kind of influence that warrants a statue!
