A Champions League semi-final, 16 seasons in the lower leagues, and a dramatic restoration to the Premier League - that’s been Leeds United over the last 26 years. But who has been the most influential player during that period - Phillips, Hernandez, Viduja, Beckford, Becchio ? Have your say and explain why.

All true Leeds fans know it's Izzy Brown for his two minutes off the bench against Frank Lampard's Derby in the play-off semi-final.

His form in the U21 side was undisputed alongside Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker during Bielsa's first season

Where’s the Stuart Dallas love? Best player to ever put on the shirt 😉

Hernandez. Absolutely no question, his genius, combined with Bielsa, ended a 16-year wait for PL football

Worried you’d get cross at me if I said Berardi

Phillips doesn’t really get his flowers for his work at Leeds because of his regression since. But Pablo Hernandez is a typical ‘streets won’t forget’ player!🔥

Is it mad for me to throw Ampadu into this conversation? Promotion and stability is as much as any Leeds player has achieved in 20 years and he’s seemingly there for the long run

Great shout!

Defo a fair shout

Marcelo Bielsa’s spy doesn’t get mentioned enough 🕵️♂️

Not a player, but Jesse Marsh laid the foundation. Doesn't get enough credit

Marsch 😭😭

Shoutout Harry Kewell. But Mark Viduka springs to mind for his iconic displays back in the day. Get Kalvin Phillips off that list though, no way!

How dare you! Mention that player and then dismiss Kalvin?? That Bielsa side would not have worked without Kalvin Phillips

Harry Kewell was one I always loved watching see also Alan Smith. However I'm going Lucas Radebe. One of the most underrated central defenders in the PL era for me. He had everything.

Love that shout, apart from mentioning he who must not be named

No player did more to get us promoted than Pablo Hernandez. Will forever adore the man and hope that he one day returns as manager. Raphinha is another shout for showing that we could land superstar players again

Was going to say Pablo came to mind immediately. First player of real quality I remember watching for Leeds. If he was younger I reckon he could’ve done a real job in the prem

Phillips has become a much reduced figure in football since leaving Leeds, but his achievements there can’t be underestimated; the anchor of the team that broke the club’s exile from the Prem - he also rejected a move to Villa in 2019, meaning he could finish the job of getting promotion. Also a dominant force in the the 1st season back when Leeds came 9th
