Average but only because of the defence. Clearly our main issue which does not seem to be addressed. Simply has to get his best 3 at the back and let them play together continously. Everything ahead of them is working well

This guy is a stubborn mule. He got rid of Chalobah, who's been a reliable and kingpin in the defense and strengthened in other areas but in defense.

Give it a C... I don't feel like the problems we have are 100% his fault. Same issues from last season arising, players not running enough etc. Maybe we have to go to a back 4 and see what that brings as maybe the likes of colwill will improve. Losing caicedo is a massive blow aswell, he clearly is out best player.

Okay for now, a lot of mess to be cleared, he has started well there, off loading 39 players in one transfer window is amazing. He'll steady the team in first half of the season and push for a top four in the second half of the season. He's done okay for now.

Chelsea are looking at Relegation if they cannot keep a consistent team together for the season. Alonso does not seem to know how to make this group into side that play together, its been shambolic so far, the owners have also played a part in creating this mess🙄

I personally think that he is the best manager since Mourhinio back in 2005/2006 when we won the double.I have been a Chelsea fanatic since I was 4 yrs old .I was born & brought up in London & went to Grammar School just down the road from Stamford Bridge in Hammersmith.My head master in my primary School was the Uncle of the Brilliant Peter Bonetti.

C- if it’s allowed - a D seems yoo harsh but Chelsea have been leaking goals at the back and Alonso really needs to do something to fix that

D is probably harsh but worth remembering that they were 2-0 down against Leeds as well and haven’t had European football to worry about either. Wasn’t convinced Xabi was the right man for Liverpool and all he’s done is confirm that so far. The only solace for Chelsea fans is maybe that we’d have been much worse under him so far I think

Poor, very poor. I have said this before but I honestly don’t think 3-4-3 works in the modern game. I know they’re missing Caicedo but still, they will get overrun in Central midfield time and time again. If he isn’t willing to adapt his formation and system, I predict he will continue to struggle

I think it has to be a C. 7 points from 5 games in the league is at least 2 less than expected. The cup win over Leeds was great though. We have missed Caicedo massively but the defence has been shocking.

I’d probably say C by Chelsea’s standards. Some promising signs attacking wise, but the defence needs to be sorted if they are going to return to the Champions League.

Way off the pace in terms of new managers at big clubs - Man City boss clearly delivering, and new Liverpool man is making steady progress. Alonso is struggling - playing too open and conceded too many goals.

Will take time to learn his methods… but I’m not totally convinced at the moment. I’ve never been a fan of the 3 at the back system in the PL… let’s see and give him plenty of time tho
