Who should get most of the blame for Celtic's defeat to Rangers?

lynnlogan621w ago

The team they never turned up

jonathan.gorrie2w ago

The board but O'Neill got it badly wrong! As much of a legend as he is, surely a global institution such as Celtic should have a more progressive and serious manager

amirmir2w ago

The players and coaching staff all day long. Couldn't care less about the board at this point. Players can't win duels in a very physical and aggressive game, and the coaching staff don't change anything.

timiloy19662w ago

O Neill and coaches all day long, why start Tounekti, also as soon as Penrice went inside to add the extra man he should've changed shape,4 5 1 or 3 5 2 ,everyone watching could see it,I just don't get it we were bullied and intimidated for 90 minutes,McInnes had his team ready to go to war while ours were ready for a nap

donaghcorby19972w ago

Rangers haven’t been up for it all year, they were bang up for it on Sunday and that’s what will have caused it. A minor fright for the Bhoys!

jasbarr85712w ago

The board,O’Neil then the players. None are blameless.

peter.lynch2w ago

The players! Got to take the brunt of the blame here imo

markmarston2w ago

100%, it’s as much the players fault as it is manger and board

jordan.harris2w ago

The search for O’Neill’s replacement needs to be happening right now. But those at the club who seem content with that midfield need sacking too

zdc7b7nrj52w ago

His replacement should and would have been in place in the summer but a certain section of the support was against it. Can’t blame the board for that .

leeclarke05082w ago

O'Neill is a busted flush. Needs binning off. Celtic need a forward thinking progressive manager. They're one of the top clubs in Europe in terms of stature. He's served a purpose but time to move on.

markmarston2w ago

The issue started when Rodgers wasn’t backed… losing one of the best managers in Britain in that fashion was a big concern. Admittedly he could’ve handled things differently but what he said was right

chillout2w ago

What would you actually criticise the Board for ?

markmarston2w ago

Not giving Rodgers the money to evolve this team last year… they kicked the can down the road and got away with it under O’Neil… this felt inevitable

paddy2w ago

The result is on Martin O'Neill and the players. HOWEVER, we have crying out for Celtic's midfield to be strengthened ALL SUMMER and board failed to deliver that whilst simulteanously weakening it by selling Arne Engels. Shambles from top to bottom

ericarfa19672w ago

Here he is coming out of his hole complaining about his overrated team.Great supporter you are.Just hide behind your computer LOSER

chillout2w ago

Who is responsible for player recruitment ? Where the funds not made available?

will.butcher2w ago

Rangers were much more up for it - this one is on the players

fenian.pinguin2w ago

Not even a performance piss poor

martinmcgrory82w ago

The defeat is down to the Coaching team not the Board, Sinisola should have been in goal, Hassan should have started not Toundkti, Duran should have been up top not Hogh, or both up top in a 3-5-2 formation, It's all down to MON not being brave enough.

eoin2w ago

Not sure you can blame the board, the on-pitch performance was so bad

seanfisher2w ago

Feels like everyone always jumps to blame the board, and while I get it… the chairman didn’t concede three goals?
