Sheffield Wednesday fans, who instantly comes to mind? 👀

Hutchinson, horrible player to play against 😂

Fernando Forestieri…. Baller!

Who is the most obscure Sheffield Wednesday player YOU can name? 👇
charlesjones6d ago
Joey Pelupessy. AKA. The worst footballer I’ve ever seen.

What's YOUR favourite Sheffield Wednesday memory?
markmarston11d ago
I’m not a Wednesday fan but I vividly remember watching that Peterborough play-off game. One of the greatest comebacks in play-off history, if not THE greatest

It's been a positive start to the season... but where can Sheffield Wednesday improve? 🤔
jameslloyd14.jl13d ago
End product. Not sure the finish but the final pass. Been a clear problem last two games

markmarston13d ago
Two games without a goal… it’s not a concern just yet but clearly need some attackers to step up in the absence of Louie Barry
charlesjones13d ago
Just keep consistent and do more of the same I’d say.

The Owls draw 0-0 with Stockport! Who needs to step up after two goalless draws?

Sheffield Wednesday host promotion favourites Stockport County this weekend. Stockport are the division’s highest scorers with 16 whilst Wednesday are second on 13… could be a cracking game. Let’s hear those score predictions Owls 🦉
jameslloyd14.jl17d ago
Tough one that. 2-2

Who would you start on the left wing Sheffield Wednesday fans? 🦉
brogan20d ago
Get DKD out there. He’s proven himself in League One before and needs regular minutes back under his belt. Cutting inside on that right foot is guaranteed goals

jameslloyd14.jl20d ago
Maybe Jamal Lowe. Play Burstow up top and Slattery just behind in the 10
markmarston20d ago
Harry Gray? seems like the best option at the moment whilst Barry is out
Wednesday fans… now that we are six games in, who do you think are our biggest challengers for automatic promotion? Which results do you look out for? 🤔
chillout20d ago
For me, it’s Plymouth. Luton and Leicester. Very early days yet.

Poor result for Sheffield Wednesday yesterday… what were the key takeaways?

Henrik Pedersen and Jamal Lowe are up for an award... which other Sheffield Wednesday star stood out in August?
dantowen8195126d ago
Kieron Morrison looks like he’s started well! When you think there’s Keillor-Dunn as well, there’s a lot of firepower in this side

Louie Barry before his injury was outstanding

How many points will Sheffield Wednesday get from their next five League One games? 🤔
jordan.harris26d ago
I’ll be optimistic and say 12

jameslloyd14.jl26d ago
11 - Hudds and Stockport could prove to be tricky

dantowen8195127d ago
I’ll say 9. Tough schedule but a win against Stockport would be a solid statement

Sheffield Wednesday BEAT Peterborough! What did you make of that?

Sheffield Wednesday have announced that Louie Barry could be out injured for up to 3 months.
markmarston32d ago
Devastating news. Barry has started the season on fire. Gutted for the lad

17 new signings for Sheffield Wednesday... happy with that window? 🦉
jameslloyd14.jl32d ago
I’d say a good 8.5. Slattery and Mitchell have fitted in really well. Obviously Louie Barry. Reece James has been brilliant since rejoining and bannan back pulling the strings, very good window
markmarston33d ago
Barry already proving to be a sensational addition…. Easily 8/10. Could be more, let’s wait and see
Big win on the road - react to that Sheffield Wednesday performance!
jameslloyd14.jl33d ago
Barry’s injury looks worrying bannan was lucky not to see red Lowe on target again burstow fitting in very well

Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett understands that Jamie Vardy is still weighing up an offer from Sheffield Wednesday 👀
markmarston34d ago
If he’s to step down to League One, surely he’d go back to Leicester rather than Wednesday?

Seventh heaven for Sheffield Wednesday in a brilliant performance against Bromley 🤩 Give us your reaction to that!
jameslloyd14.jl34d ago
Like watching Brazil! Louie Barry some player 👏
callum_boyle36d ago
Seen enough, these lot are winning the league. Done it at a canter. Know it’s Bromley but professionalism that other rivals are lacking
Sheffield Wednesday are OUT of the cup... what did you make of that performance?
jameslloyd14.jl39d ago
Unnecessary and unfortunate errors at the back leading to both goals palmer looks of the boil and Morrison looks sharp
freddie40d ago
Not the best but focus should be on the league anyway

Liverpool expert James Brooke has given an insight into what Sheffield Wednesday fans can expect from Kieran Morrison. How excited are you by this signing?
callum_boyle45d ago
Prem loans are sensible but where does he get into the side? Don’t Wednesday have an array of wide players?

Sheffield Wednesday are leading the race to sign Liverpool winger Kieran Morrison... thoughts? 👀
The 19-year-old is expected to join on a season-long loan deal.
dantowen8195147d ago
Nothing wrong with this! Prem loans are a great source of low-cost success at league one level

Wednesday off to a winning start ✅ Give us your instant reaction to the season opener 👇

Sheffield Wednesday had a host of new faces in the squad against Bolton, but who caught your eye and why?
jameslloyd14.jl56d ago
Liongola is a workhorse, slattery looks good and sharp, and bannan looks like he’s never been away. Burstow looked abit isolated on his own up top. Swinkels very solid at the back
shamanth.jayaram56d ago
Really impressed by Swinkels. Barely put a foot wrong apart from that one loose pass. He pulled off a few classy diagonals too. Promising display!

Barry 😍 what a man

There's been a lot of negative discourse around Henrik Pedersen... are you fully sold on him Sheffield Wednesday fans?
dantowen8195159d ago
Hard to really tell considering the issues he had to deal with last season. For me, he should only be judged on the new campaign
Fernando Forestieri remains a free agent & wants to return to the EFL, would you sign him Sheffield Wednesday fans? 🤔
dantowen8195160d ago
This feels like the sort of deal that got Wednesday in trouble in the first place haha
Ike Ugbo is set to leave Sheffield Wednesday... thoughts? 🤔

Two stunning Sheffield Wednesday kits this season... which do you prefer? 😍
markmarston67d ago
Both absolutely gorgeous… can’t split them genuinely. Great job by Umbro
Mason Burstow looks Sheffield Wednesday-bound... immediate reaction?
markmarston68d ago
Be a smart addition this… good goal record at Bolton. Lots of growth in him as well. Will have learnt a lot last term
Barry Bannan's still got it 🪄
markmarston74d ago
He’ll still be one of the best players in the division on technical basis. Still super fit… so if his body holds up… I could see something like 7 goals and 8 assists
Who do we see as our main rivals for the top two this season then?
No comments yet. Be the first.
Some top business done so far 👏 Bannan is back 👑 and Louie Barry what a signing ⚡️
markmarston84d ago
Jayden Heskey is a target also…. If they get him back that’d make them auto favourites for me

Sheffield Wednesday - some random stats and facts:
markmarston90d ago
Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium featured the very first structural cantilever stand - allowing fans to watch matches with an unhindered view. During the 1970s, Wednesday famously deployed wild hedgehogs onto their pitch overnight to eat the worms & save the drying grass. They remain the last club to win a major trophy (1991) outside the top tier.
Is it fair to say, that if Wednesday don’t meet the definition of sleeping giants, few other English clubs do ? Outside of the Premier League, I can’t see much further than them and Derby ?
caleb.sage120d ago
More like a dead giant. What Chansiri did to that club man😩
filipe.guedes.guimaraes121d ago
I think it’s worth to discuss Blackburn Rovers case. Three league trophies, almost 15 years out of the EPL and a miserable Championship campaign this season.
dantowen81951121d ago
The funny thing about English football is that there are SO many clubs who could realistically consider themselves to be sleeping giants - seems like half of the EFL have had real peak spells over the years
Despite everything that occurred last season, average away attendances were up at the same kind of level as teams chasing promotion. Fan mood has now shifted further following the takeover - no points deduction next season is massive and 10,000 season tickets sold on the first day of sales in May too. Don’t fans deserve a break - what will 26/27 bring ?
billy.meyers122d ago
Going down but getting rid of Chansiri should feel almost as good as staying up - with him gone the Owls can finally kick on
dale.odonnell122d ago
Wednesday will be up near the top. A good start to the season would give the fans a lift.
antonymmartin84122d ago
Hate seeing Wednesday in the position they are in. I remember my old man taking me to Upton Park on a school night in the early 90s, saying to my mum, ‘he’s gotta come, Wednesday are a massive club’. So so sad. However, I do think they can bounce back given their fanbase and the fact that they’ve had so long to prepare for league one football
Could we win League One this season?
billy.meyers122d ago
At least play-offs
callum_boyle122d ago
Wednesday will walk the league I think. The wind is in their sails and the newfound belief will make them difficult for everyone
leeclarke0508122d ago
Top six this season easily.
When is a return to the Premier League a realistic target?
johnverrall11122d ago
Would be surprised if they make it in the next decade. A lot of powerful clubs in the Championship now.
callum_boyle122d ago
Five-seven years seems realistic. I think Wednesday fans just want some stability for once but that doesn’t mean they can’t aim high
charlesjones122d ago
We’ve seen before it doesn’t have to take long. Sheff United showed that a few years ago
PROVE ME WRONG: Gabriel Otegbayo will be Wednesday's next big star
callum_boyle122d ago
Considering he more than handled his own in the Championship last season I think this boy will go far
markmarston127d ago
Heskey if he signs permanently!
How much is Pierce Charles worth?
callum_boyle122d ago
£5-£10m. Hope Celtic are the ones who get him!
markmarston127d ago
£5m maybe?
