Ryan Giggs says Ruben Amorim deserves more credit for his Manchester United spell - Do you agree?

Amorin to me seemed a weak manager always squatting on the touchline and didn't look as he knew what to do in a crisis during a match. Didn't seem to act like a father figure either, therefore not scose to the players.

No i dont think so

United was toxic under Amorim, Making players looking bad and under value and worthless in our club, Carrick has come along and repaired the damage amorim had done now from players to fans we can all see the value in micheal carrick and his teams work in pushing us forword long may it continue.

Must be jealous of Carrick's success can't think of another reason why he would promote such BS

If Ruben had done well he would still be there. Also Michael Carrick wouldn't have got the tune out of the players which led to to Champions League football. So no. Giggs is talking tripe!

Fundamentally, I think Giggs is right. MC didn't tear down when he came in, he tweaked things. Amorim left him the foundation to get 3rd, Carrick shaped that foundation into the result. Something I don't believe Amorim could have achieved. But that doesn't mean he didn't play his role in mixing the mud.

That to me sounds rather iffish. Was there really no place for both Kobbie and Bruno❓ When he stated that they were in opposition for the same position, he tied his own hands. So, out of pride, and no to contradict himself, he isolated KM. I can't for the life of me, agree with Giggsy.

I totally disagree with RGiggs. RAmorim is without clear direction during his term at MU. He can't read the talent of his players, he doesn't know how to face other Premiership teams. He coaches like a secondary school team. RGiggs also is blind in evaluating football coaches.

His treatment of Mainoo alone should disqualify him from top jobs in the future

Don't agree with what Giggs said, i'm glad he's gone really he didn't play Kobbie, and he would have left because of it and Bruno out of position. Also taking us to our worst ever placed finish, and saying it's the worst Utd team ever. It's 97% the same team that Carrick has now, says a lot.

I agree with Giggs Rueben changed the Mu culture of self entitlement. He expected 100% effort from his players. Ruebens own ego did him in and his inflexibility to change his systems

no he tried to destroy Mainoo and Man U

Couldn’t agree less. We were in a fairly good spot despite Amorim not because of him. Plus, it was the directors who made the signings. I only credit him with booting Garnacho

He brought some stability this season. Although the results were not favorable, the overall style of play improved. The team was effective in attack but conceded too many goals. This was mainly due to young defenders being forced to play because the experienced defenders were injured.

Ruben may be the Architect of his own demise but also he laid down the base new team that is succeeding now under Carrick.

I would like to think that a clearout was long overdue regardless of who was in charge

Not sure I agree. Weakest United manager of my time.
