What have YOU made of Andrew Cavenagh's time as Chairman? πŸ€”

He is delivering on his promises...

jjamieson19621w ago

Realy would like to thank the owners of our famous club for the backing they have gave us. Andrew cavenagh has been so good for our club,

dakir.thanveer1w ago

Honestly, yes! Over the last years, we have been quick to criticise management when it goes wrong but I think Cavenagh and Co have done mostly well

jamesmcgarvie.872w ago

Great guy and very astute.

pranav.shahaney2w ago

Yup. I like how he’s been at away games and interactef with fans

jabba413w ago

Gers are now on the up keep it going lads and Lassys

pranav.shahaney3w ago

Really impressed with the number of signings made and the amount spent. I’m liking a lot of what I’m seeing on the pitch

dakir.thanveer3w ago

πŸ”₯

sconehillbilly543w ago

Ok The guys got a big wallet but he needs to spend wisely on quality

dakir.thanveer3w ago

I generally like the signing this summer but yes, there was a lack of planning too

robinongm3w ago

Andrew has done a very good job for Rangers FC.

jdavidliddell3w ago

Thanks. Mum!

rwhyte134w ago

Good

marlinsteven19624w ago

Obssessed with english championship players recriutment team need clearing out as well as coaching staff worrying site to see 18 coaching staff during warm ups

pranav.shahaney4w ago

Agreed, mate. Signing sub-par players from the Championship is such a poor transfer strategy

evergersandy4w ago

If anything we are worse, More money spent on less talented players. Europe was are only saving grace and we don't have that anymore, To much trust in with academic qualifications rather than actual footballing knowledge.

pranav.shahaney4w ago

The summer started so positively and everyone looked aligned. Come September it just looks like another mess unfortunately

ibroxgaz1mo ago

Rome wasn't built in a day, patience is going to be key this season, if we get these 3 attackers in hopefully we can kick on.

pranav.shahaney1mo ago

Which attackers would you like?

cammyp511mo ago

Andrew seems to have bought into Rangers Big time. At least he is bringing in some players.

pranav.shahaney1mo ago

But he's got to improve the recruitment team. No point of spending money on duds every summer

colinhartley401mo ago

A

pranav.shahaney1mo ago

That's high! Why?

jamesmcgarvie.871mo ago

Chairmen come and go but that does not mean some should be remembered. I think Mr Cavanagh will be remembered.

pranav.shahaney1mo ago

Are you happy with what you've seen so far?

scunner681mo ago

Pretty average so far but needs time to get it right

jamesmcgarvie.871mo ago

Please omit the word PRETTY.

stewartjohn0861mo ago

Should employ a decent scouting system rather than buying unknown talent for millions

dakir.thanveer1mo ago

Which signings have you been underwhelmed by?

marlinsteven19621mo ago

Ok made a lot of mistakes on recruitment and still believe he needs more experienced backroom staff yesterday we had 16 coaching staff on the pitch ?????

pranav.shahaney1mo ago

Do you think recruitment has not improved? Why? I disagree with that

evergersandy1mo ago

I don't think Rangers have progressed one bit since Cavenagh took over.

brysonhunter791mo ago

American mentality dollars +++ who advise him regarding buying players please reply

superally92mo ago

Glasgow Rangers could be a jewel in 49rs crown if they invested serious money on the playing staff, spending 3.5 and 5 million on average players is not going to cut it. IWe were all excited when they buy out happened but unfortunately nothing has changed.

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

Yep, they need to fix things and they need to fix em' fast

dgrant.702mo ago

Theres still no actual money being spent.we are a year in and theres zero change.the team is as poor as ever.we need a good 30 mil pumped in to get better players.recruitmunt is shabby.whoever said mcrorrie was a good buy needs locking up.

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

Agree. The window started positively, but has turned so bad in recent weeks even with eight new signings

johnsfulton2mo ago

All looking good for the new season. Like any businessman he will have a 3 to 5 year plan to restructure all aspects of the club.

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

Absolutely! So far, so good! Have to continue the good work though

shawsy1690002mo ago

Brilliant

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

That's some top appreciation. I'd give them a 10/10 if they deliver the Premiership this season

nwsrvmmw5m2mo ago

He has been influential in supporting and helping the club in the quest to return Rangers to a team that can compete to win major honours. If Andrew and the 49ers had not invested both their time experience and investment into the club we would have struggled and for this I am forever grateful πŸ‘Š

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

True, they have been making the right decisions behind the scenes and more importantly learning how things are done in Scottish football while they are at it. Now, it's just has to translate into success on the pitch

brysonhunter792mo ago

Wasting good money on poor transfers also the Manager Danny Boy !!! Clueless!!! I wish JT and his family all the best for the future, we will regret letting JT leave under a cloud. RFC should be ashamed treating a loyal player like that. Thank goodness for the one and only John Greig who saved the day for JT.

donmac832mo ago

It was time for JT to leave, we cannot continue to hold on to players who are in/out of games and makes plenty of mistakes. His farewell was a disaster but that's life.

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

I don't agree with the whole farewell fiasco, but I do think it was a good time to part ways. I like there is a complete overnhaul of squad leaders, had gotten a bit complacent altogether

donmac832mo ago

Fantastic and Amazing, to support the blues

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

He's done great off the pitch, now those actions need to reflect on the pitch in the shape of trophies!

davidmcivor672mo ago

I think he's starting to realise what's needed for the greatest club ever close season has seen lots of hard work hopefully it shows on match days WATP πŸ”΄βšͺοΈπŸ”΅πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

If there was one thing you'd like him to do differently, what would it be?

jmacfarlane65212mo ago

Great πŸ‘Œ

ackie762mo ago

Grreat

rossmillerrangers2mo ago

obviously the Russell Martin and Robertson and Thellwell appointments were poor but he's learned and the appointment of Jim Gillespie looks a good one and moving so fast to get Rohl out the door and Mciness in was handled well. He's also backed every gaffer financially and we have moved fast this summer getting players in also

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

Absolutely. It's rare to see someone in charge at Rangers following through on their promises. He did the wise thing to stick with Rohl and then use RB Salzburg's interest to make money from getting him out and McInnes in. Genius move

dakir.thanveer2mo ago

Yeah, he hasn't been 100% with his decisions, but it is encouraging to see he's learning from his mistakes. Good sign that

jjamieson19622mo ago

Cavenagh is still learning to manage our great club day by day lam happy so far what hes doing lots boardroom staff players coming in and staff leaving lots going on its looking good. Ive got good vibes about what hes doing roll on 56!

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

Yes. He seems to be extremely hands on and knows what he's doing and isn't afraid to hold his hands up to admit he got things wrong

waverley39392mo ago

O.k.

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

What would you like to see him do differently?

williamreid542mo ago

I think up to now he's still finding his feet the great thing about the man is he listens to what the fans and experienced businessmen have to say regarding Scottish Football

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

I like the fact that he's always listening to fans for their perspectives

mgq467qrn72mo ago

I am confident he will vastly improve the club and team.

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

What more does he need to do?

hugh_aitken552mo ago

He is doing great look back at all the chancers who have been in control since Murrray he is a step above

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

Agreed. Really impressed with his conduct. He's also delivering on his promises something which has not happened previously at Rangers

jim.donnet2mo ago

Two managers, several board and administrative post and some god awful players later and are we better placed than 15 months ago.Total failure.Thought he could cleanse the stables by removing ties to previous regimes and history and now admits he got that wrong too.Report card: Must do whole lot better

pranav.shahaney2mo ago

Okay, what would you do if you were in charge?

ackie763mo ago

Great

gordiemurray683mo ago

Great

pranav.shahaney3mo ago

What would he need to do in order to be A*?

lindfieldw3mo ago

ok

fmcinaw3mo ago

Jury's still out for me .. you can throw as much money at the club as you want but there's still an empty trophy cabinet plus a huge bank balance difference in the bears account and the other half of the divide.. if anybody wants to try convince me otherwise please do.

eckybrown612mo ago

Some people never happy

pranav.shahaney3mo ago

Do you blame Cavenagh for that? He’s done his best. Made mostly the right calls and if he has got things wrong, he has not taken long to hold his hands up and make them changed

shawsy1690003mo ago

Amazing

robertdelussey3mo ago

Doing a good job πŸ‘

pranav.shahaney3mo ago

Would you give him an A+?

jenkisondavid583mo ago

Andrew has been a breath of fresh air at Ibrox, he already understand what makes the club ticks. He will drive the club forward and will make Rangers No1 again.

pranav.shahaney3mo ago

Agreed. He's currently in the US watching four Rangers players train ahead of the World Cup game between Scotland and Haiti. Just the hands-on chairman the clud needs

kkvxv8qh7s3mo ago

Bad decisions are killing him. Football naivety

pranav.shahaney3mo ago

What kinda bad decisions mate? He's done a stellar job, in my view. Was never going to be easy to clear up years worth of mess in 12 months.

colinhartley404mo ago

Brilliant stuff πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

craigmcann774mo ago

Need stronger manager

jjamieson19623mo ago

Danny rhol will be hurting just like all of us m8. This guy will be back stronger hungrier next season remember the mess hes stepped into. Russel martin should be jailed the state he left our club in. Its a total rebuild we will be back mate.

pranav.shahaney4mo ago

Like?

?

fan4mo ago

pranav.shahaney4mo ago

While I tend to agree with you, it's also hard to get everything right at Rangers after years of chaos.

edrummond74mo ago

His choice of managers leave a lot to be desired

pranav.shahaney4mo ago

Were you against the Rohl appointment as well? In my view, he needs time.

tommywaddell0534mo ago

Class.

mmckenzie21474mo ago

Since Cavenagh came to Rangers with have gone poor & finished 3rd, he's to busy pumping money into a little team of Leeds United instead of helping Rangers

harky683mo ago

Rubbish

pranav.shahaney4mo ago

Cavenagh has no involvement with Leeds mate

eddiemartin554mo ago

Class

tommy.mcewan995mo ago

Andrew is now a fan not just someone with money invested in the club. He cares about our club and that is something I like about him. WATP

pranav.shahaney4mo ago

Agreed. I believe he can bring the good times back to Ibrox.
