What should Man Utd do with Radek Vitek in 2026/27?

Now he's sold and Man U will bank £14m - way below £20m.

The mistake was made last season. He should have been first choice at OT. I still think he is the best keeper on our books.

I would have Vitek set up as the number 1 for the domestic cup ties and alternative CL first-phase matches ‘à la Romero’ to build up his CV for this season. We need to be fully shot of Onana and the Turkish dude - those two are still on the books and an embarrassment.

It's a waste of time keeping him to compete with Lammens mainly because that will make him a number 2 and he's said he doesn't want to be a number 2, plus we already have a new number 2 now in Darlow, so really it's either we loan him out again or we sell him.

I wouldn't sell unless there's a bid worth £25m. Otherwise, loan him out, preferably to a top-flight club in one of the best leagues. Highly doubt Vitek wants to be a backup after playing so well at a high standard this season. Plenty of recognition for it in terms of individual awards, too.

True, but I don't see anyone taking Lammens' spot next season. It would be brave from whoever is the head coach to take both goalkeepers on next season. Vitek will feel he has a point to prove and probably wouldn't give it longer than a year if it stunted his development.
