Its always good to have the option. If the lad smashes it at Middlesbrough then he is only sticking himself in a better position for a return. You never know whats around the corner, Lemmens could get long term injured or worse, he could get homesick or lured away by the Saudi's.. Vitek has the world in his hands now, I hope the lad does really well

It is a concern that Lamens isn't in the squad for tomorrow. The longer he has to dwell on things, the harder it could be for return. You fall off the bike, get straight back on.

So he made a mistake. As long as he learns from it . We all remember the patienc we had with De Gea before he was one of the best in the world. If Lammers end up no good then Viteck will be back, otherwise take the 35% SELLING CLAUSE

I am confident that Lamens will be fine. He showed with his attitude last season that he can be relied upon. It is just the circumstances of his one appearance at the world cup that is going to be the biggest test of his character. In life, always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. That is why I would be making sure he is ok before selling Vitek.

Well going back to the Alvaro Hernandez situation we had a buy back clause for him but took pity on him because he wanted to go back to Real,Madrid so we didn't activate it when he left Benfica so I'll reserve judgement on that

A lot being made of Lammen's 'mistake' in the World Cup where he failed to hang on to Curbasi's shot for Merino to score. But, nothing said about how Courtois palmed the ball out for Ruiz to score the first Spanish goal. Is that because Courtois doesn't play for Man Utd ?

It was really just the circumstances. That one fumble ended Belgiums world cup. The consequences were far bigger than the one missed save. Lamens is a great keeper as he has already shown. I hope it hasn't hurt his confidence. I do think he is a strong enough character to have moved on from it.

The arrival of Lammens didn't go Vitek's way in terms of timing. Good deal for United in the end. Wish him the best at Boro.

Dean Henderson should never of been sold. The same will happen with Vitek. Yes he needs to be a number 1, but we should have proper backup for Lamens. Vitek will be world class, and by the time we would want him back, he will of moved on emotionally as well as physically. Good luck to Vitek. Top keeper.

I also hope the "hang over" of his mistake for Belgium doesn't kill his confidence. I would of kept hold of Vitek until seeing Lamens on his return, and getting pre-season games played.

Absolutely fine with this. If he stars, we bring him back. And if he does come back one day, he’ll be a far better goalkeeper than if he’d stayed back-up to Lammens
