Is Givairo Read the right player to provide competition for Ola Aina?
How would you rate this signing out of 10?

It will drive them both on to see who starts and that's only a good thing for us. Same for Neco he needs some top level competition.

If we want to get better as a football club and not keep fighting relegation we need to get rid of aina and a few others.

Are you mad?? Aina is a quality RB and probably one of the fastest players in the league. He's also the main character in the dressing room. To get rid would be daft

Not surw I agree with that.

I don't understand again why we are messing about with bids £2m short of what is needed and allowing clubs to swoop in who won't think twice to snap these players up £20m get it signed get it done - what are we messing about at when we blew way more than that last summer on duds like McAtee, Kalimuendo and Bakwa - yes we have to be sensible but come on!!

Those 3 players you mentioned, are not duds pal! The reason they underperformed was lack of game time. Bakwa came good towards the end of the season. Kali smashed it in Germany. Macca also needs more than the odd game in Europe and league cup. Macca is a 10 it's always gonna be hard behind Morgan his time will come

Absolutely right because by the time our owner makes a decision another club always dives in and we have to get players we never even wanted it’s really irritating

Could easily displace Aina to be honest, quality player. Snap him up before the bigger clubs jump on it

8 for me - he’s a top quality crosser of the ball, which is maybe where Aina is lacking slightly. Read was compared to Alexander-Arnold at one point, and you can see the resemblance when he whips the ball in

Funny you should mention TAA , I've often thought aina reminded of him, decent going forward but terrible defensively.
