Talk Millwall

chillout19d ago

Millwall to do West Ham a favour - and beat the Boro !!

jonathan.gorrie59d ago

It’s a bit underwhelming to say the least 🤣

leeclarke050859d ago

The most Millwall signing ever.

jordan.harris59d ago

Not inspiring, but always has the potential to cause problems

dantowen8195159d ago

Every time I think they’ve hit their limit, they seem to reach another level! Honestly, I expected Crama and Azeez to be gone by now, so keeping them is massive

jameslloyd14.jl59d ago

Think last season might prove to be their peak under this group. Still expect them to be awkward as ever and comfortably top half, but reckon they just miss out on POs

martin.crawford59d ago

Miracle if Neil gets them play-offs again, I do think they peaked last year - but I like that they haven’t stood still this summer. Some interesting signings

markmarston67d ago

Millwall are so good at developing young talent… could be our next £25m asset 🤷‍♂️

markmarston68d ago

How did Lisbie look folks?

markmarston70d ago

Not sure about this one… seems an awful lot of money. Then again, there’s no reason to doubt Millwall’s recruitment is there… been fantastic

jamie.brown8270d ago

Some excellent business so far! Another playoff push on the cards for sure!!!

jonathan.gorrie70d ago

Just got to hope that Femi stays

markmarston75d ago

Mannnn it’s such a tough one… anything less than third would feel a bit underwhelming after last season right? But there should be an acceptance that the likes of Wolves, Burnley and Hammers will be particularly strong and hard to compete with. I think top 8

markmarston81d ago

For a side that narrowly missed out on automatic promotion… I thought they’d be able to attract some really top talent. This doesn’t scream let’s try and go for the top two again. Am I being too cynical?

markmarston83d ago

Millwall are currently in Spain & have suffered a 2-1 loss vs FC Andorra today. They are back in action on Friday against Eldense. Alex Neil has confirmed that the club have financial headroom to make additions but more outgoing are expected. Adam Mayor is in talks to join Hibernian. Millwall are interested in signing Celtic striker Johnny Kenny.

markmarston88d ago

Good player but after narrowly missing out on the Premier League, I would’ve thought the club would be able to attract some top end champ players or perhaps even fringe Premier League players. This isn’t inspiring me at all 🤷‍♂️

markmarston90d ago

During the 1927-28 season, Millwall scored a record-breaking 87 league goals at home - it remains an EFL record to this day. Between 1964 and 1967, Millwall went on an incredible run of 59 consecutive home games undefeated at The Old Den. Millwall’s new stadium opened in 1993 & was the first all-seater ground built in England following the Taylor Report.

dantowen81951101d ago

Some big early tests here. I’m not sure what to expect from Millwall. Are they automatic promotion contenders or play-off chasers?

dantowen81951116d ago

Keep Femi Azeez! Might be harder said than done though

dantowen81951116d ago

To Millwall? Priceless But considering the current market, surely someone like Eze should he the benchmark. Palace paid £20m for him, and the prices have only risen since then

kyle.dimond119d ago

I think it’s also that the club has such a big reputation that these instances tend to get remembered longer than if it happens to other clubs. Clearly progress being made but it’s going to be so hard to remove that stigma entirely

I think West Ham’s relegation has obviously brought this into a spotlight again too, and that fixture will obviously be on high alert next season. But Millwall and the club board deserve praise for how they are turning the reputation around

johnverrall11119d ago

I think we are talking about what they’re doing on the pitch? Fantastic season, punching well above their weight, really solid core to their squad. They’ll be up their again next year

Not a Milwall fan but I will be tuning in regardless.

callum_boyle119d ago

I have been waiting for this for so long. Hopefully the game at West Ham holds up as well as it did at Upton Park but the Den will be rocking. One of the games of the year to watch as a neutral

vatsal119d ago

10 As a neutral this will be, as the internet likes to call it now ABSOLUTE CINEMA

callum_boyle119d ago

I think it’s the goalkeeper position. Patterson on loan was a great deal and, while Crocombe is solid, the club need to be ruthless to become consistent promotion challengers. That and a striker who guarantees goals.
