What is it going to take for George Russell to get back in the title fight?

Actual talent and a change of mindset. Russell was a bridesmaid to Hamilton while he was at Mercedes and true to form, he's now the bridesmaid to Antonelli. Driving for Mercedes doesn't mean you're owed a drivers championship.

George Russell would like to blame everything and everybody for his failures to beat Kimi A . the fact is quite simple = he is quite simply not as good or as quick as this young man .

A reliable car. He needs a win to regain confidence. That retirement at Canada knocked him back. When u start winning the wins keep coming, when you start losing confidence takes a massive hit and it gets worse.

Right now, George Russell is relying on a bit (or a lot) of misfortune befalling Andrea Kimi Antonelli

Cutting out the whingeing would be a start

We need to see the greatest “lock in” from a driver we’ve seen in quite some time. But he’s still not far off points wise, it’s more of a mentality thing

He's going to need a Kimi DNF now. No good just winning races

Russell's prayers were answered on Sunday. Had Kimi won the dice would have been firmly cast. I still think that Kimi is Toto's chosen one. Lewis was elbowed out to make room. Toto missed out on Max, he didn't want a repeat with Kimi. Once he's matured a bit Kimi would look good in red

Antonelli will have a couple of retirements, be it through crashes or unreliability, and it's critical that Russell wins those races. That would change everything

I think Russell is going to have to lock in in a way he's never done before. It seems like he's letting his frustration get the best of him, and it's practically handing the title to his teammate.
