No. The team will work better with a clearly dominant Antonelli. If they bring in Max it'll split priorities. Right now they'll win both categories and new blood can set as many records as possible doing it. Russell's car has given up on him multiple times, Verstappen would be absolutely ballistic in his shoes.

My view is a resounding no. Wolff has always wanted Verstappen, but Antonelli has made it clear that he has the potential to surpass the Dutchman's talents if given the right car. Bringing Verstappen into the fold would only make things even more complex for Wolff in terms of driver management.

If I were Toto Wolff, the answer would be yes as he has wanted to sign Max Verstappen for more than a decade. But if I were in Wolff's shoes, the answer would be no and I'd be building Mercedes around Antonelli
