In other countries many stadiums are dual purpose and no problem. Many supporters I sit with value the safety, comfort, accessibility and quality facilities of the London stadium. To get supporters off their seats and creating a noisy atmostphere in all modern stadiums requires a winning team playing exciting football.

We rent the ground for next to nothing so why not be magnanimous and give something back. It's not unprecedented anyway. A few years ago we had to play our first few matches away as the stadium was being used for other purposes. It wasn't the end of the world. If West Ham want exclusive use of the ground then they need to buy it outright.

Let Athletics use it. WHU can use it as leverage to get the LLDC to finally raise capacity to 66k (from 62500) get safe standing in part of the ground. The LLDC fight WHU tooth and nail over every tiny little thing because of their incompetence to make money on the stadium blaming WHU who pay a fair market rent for their 22 days a year of use of the stadium

So lord Coe is an ambassador for athletics AND sport.He is obviously not so keen on football,a professional game run by professionals.It's not just 3 weeks of athletics, it's months of upheaval and damage to the running of West Ham.It's a crazy idea in the first place.Send the games to Birmingham.

No way we have a contract to play our home games at the stadium and if we did even consider it they would have to make it financially acceptable to west ham united

There is a lovely stadium in Birmingham provided for Commonwealth Games recently use that and spread the financial benefits to Midlands!!

Don't let them have it, just out of pure spite. We should never have been there anyway..BS out ect. Also imo it looks more like a cricket ground then an athletics stadium.

No it is there teams home so should be used by them first, the athletics can go to another stadium that agrees it does not have to be west hams. Not everything needs to happen in the london area. Athletics should move the date of the want to use it as they want that stadium during the football season where they could have used it during preseason.

Big athletics fan (footie is 2nd). I don't think WH should be made to vacate. Footie season runs Aug to May and has done for ages so Coe and others should have thought about that before bidding. Also, London let someone else have a go! Bloomin hell had Olympics in 2012, Worlds in 2017 and a regular Diamond League meet. Give other countries a chance to host

We should have a football stadium, not a secondhand athletics stadium. Poor decision in the first place. Build a decent stadium in Rainham and hand the track back.

Yes we should make way. It’s good for the city and is it really a big deal playing three consecutive away games? Refusing just makes the club look bad.
