Islam for sure no question. Yes Khabib was amazing for sure but he didn’t keep fighting and Islam has kept it moving and just destroying people

Islam 100% higher in the GOAT debate than Khabib imo. He’s definitely the greatest lightweight of all time, Khabib just wasn’t there long enough.

Khabib. More Dominant against Better competition. And even if Coach said Islam is the only 1 to give Him trouble in pratice, he never said Islam Beat Khabib in pratice. And Khabib last fought a long time ago.

Really Hard Between Islam and Khabib , just because of number of title defenses. If Khabib have fought one more fight and no doubt whatever the opponent was he was going to outclass him and Islam have more defenses. But still have to go with Khabib

BJ Penn

Do the people voting for Islam realise that he's never even tapped Khabib in training?
kyle.dimond3mo ago
Pretty sure their coach has said Islam is the only one who could give Khabib trouble in training

He is the most skilled and strong fighter in the sport. He's a very humbled guy but at the same time he's a beast in the cage that he's put in (with any fighter on the cards. No complaints, just fights. He's the most entertaining fighter in this whole sport. So sas khabib both very nice people. Well done guys 💪

Khabid fought better competition

He only faced 5 good opponents his full career 😅 islam has beat better and faced double the amount that kebab did easily

Why is BJ Penn's name up there as a choice? Didn't he have a six or seven match losing streak or something? What did he actually do?
kyle.dimond7mo ago
He did but only a couple were at lightweight right at the end of his career. He was the first lightweight to defend the belt three times, same number as Khabib.

Islam

I change this all the time but right now I'd say Khabib. Beat a better version of Poirier and two of Islam's title defenses were against late notice opponents.

Islam. Most title defenses in division history. Khabib is close second but retired way too early and didn't have enough title defenses.

I'd just about say Islam but on a different day I could switch to Khabib. I think Islam did just enough in his reign to pretty much equal Khabib and make it interchangeable

Islam, for me. Don't get me wrong I'm not a massive fan, but dominance x longevity x quality of wins mean he stands out from the rest.
