Okazaki, Evans & Izzet were all unsung heroes... but who is the MOST underrated player in Leicester's PL history? š¤
kyle.dimond12h ago
Christian Fuchs was signed on a free which is crazy. Always feel like Wes Morgan and Robert Huth donāt get enough credit in that title winning side.
♥ 1
dantowen8195113h ago
Danny Simpson maybe? Massive part of that title winning team
will.butcher14h ago
Fuchs and Albrighton - unreal. Donāt think Wes Morganās influence was ever given the recognition it truly deserved either. What a team

Leicester City are on the verge of a major coup as Will Smallbone is set to join on a free transfer! š®
Immediate reaction Foxes fans?
dantowen819514d ago
Looks a good deal this! Falls into the Emil Riis envelope of too good for League One

james.brooke4d ago
Major coup feels generous possibly

Top footballer and top bloke! Gonna be a great signing
♥ 1

We've picked out two reasons why Leicester fans should stay positive... what's keeping YOU optimistic? š¤
markmarston4d ago
Martinās 25-game unbeaten run at Saints started on the 30th of September after four defeats in a row⦠could we be about to see something similar at Leicester?

Which Leicester City player instantly comes to mind when you see this kit š¤
sentientsphee5d ago
Matty Fryatt for me, thought he was the best player in the world other than Vidic and Torres
jordan.harris5d ago
Would Max Gradel have played in this one?
markmarston5d ago
Big Steve Howard up front! That winner against Leeds last minute jumps out. Bullet header!

Now that Wout Faes has gone, what is Leicester's strongest centre-back pairing? šŖ
sentientsphee6d ago
Think its too early to tell. I'd like it to be Kangasneimi and O'Hara but one hasnt had much time in the team and the other has made two mistakes in two games
♥ 1
markmarston6d ago
Souttar has been poor but Iād probably say him and Kangasniemi
Wout Faes has left Leicester City... immediate thoughts? š¤
callum_boyle7d ago
What a brilliant day
markmarston7d ago
Clearly best for both parties. Faes didnāt want to be here and majority of fan base didnāt either. My main concern is Okoli will now get more game time - and heās significantly worse. Faes was our best defender, so from that perspective itās a loss. Letās hope Kangasniemi gets the nod. Would like to see him next to OāHora or Souttar

Who is the most obscure Leicester City player you can name? š
lee.connor7d ago
Lillian Nalis comes to mind as he somehow ended up at Sheffield United and never played. Then from back in the day I remember big Frank Sinclair having a stint š
♥ 1
dakir.thanveer7d ago
Esteban Cambiasso. Not obscure but his name gets lost in Leicester history because he was there only briefly. Without him, there's no Kante, no title miracle š
dantowen819517d ago
I genuinely have no memory of Vicente Iborra playing for leicester

Jake Evans has registered six goal involvements in eight games for Cheltenham Town... would you recall him in January? š
Cheltenham fans think he could return to Leicester - he's been that good š„
sentientsphee7d ago
Give him more time on loan, hopefully he'll smash it and then come to us ready for the championship
callum_boyle8d ago
Iād probably keep him there now. Playing every week is going to do him the world of good and, unless we have serious injuries, bringing him back probably means he sits on the bench. I want him to play though and Iām worried weāll push him out it we donāt start giving him chances sooner rather than later
♥ 1
leeclarke05088d ago
I don't think so. Leicester will go again after Christmas and think his development be better served on loan

Tommy Watson believes Leicester's results will start to turn... do you agree?
sentientsphee10d ago
I think I've seen enough to know we will be okay so I definitely think results will improve it's just to what extent. Martin's tactics will stay the same, its up to the players now in terms of the execution. 10th to 1st feels achievable but we need to see consistent performances to achieve the top of that range and to reduce silly mistakes.
markmarston11d ago
I do agree. I really do think Iāve seen enough to suggest weāll put together a great run of form. I just think we need another source of goals away from Riis. Think Chaplinās return will be massive. Heās a prolific goalscorer at this level. Also think defensively weāve looked a bit better if not perfect. McCarthy just needs to pick and chose when to play
♥ 1
Watch Admir Bristric's hat-trick vs Fulham U21s... who else impressed YOU in Leicester's 6-1 win? š§
sentientsphee12d ago
Bristric and Watson were great, was excited by the energy of Hutchinson when he came on. Honestly would like to see Martin maybe try Riis and Bristric up top together. Hoping that O'Hara's blunder for the first goal and the one against Barnsley won't be repeated but if it gives Kangasneimi a chance to come in I wouldn't be against it
♥ 1
markmarston12d ago
Really impresssd by Kamari Doyle⦠looks a very technical footballer. Good to see Watson looking a bit more confident
♥ 2

We've picked our strongest Leicester City XI... let's see yours š
sentientsphee12d ago
Would agree with most of these, Lundstram over Braybrooke is unfortunate. My biggest takeaway is that RM's strongest 11 will probably look very different come the end of the season. Would expect JJ to cement his place but Aluko has just as good of a chance. Watson, Braybrooke and Kangasneimi will hopefully be in there too. Not convinced at all by McCarthy
markmarston12d ago
Braybrooke so unlucky to miss out, I just think once Chaplin is fit, itāll be Page and Lundstram with Chaplin in the 10
♥ 1
Understandably thereās a lot of negativity around the club, but isnāt it time for fans, players and manager to band together to help get Leicester promoted? The fans need to fully get behind the team and give the manager a break. The manager needs to be a bit more pragmatic, flexible tactics-wise and shift his media tone. Everyone must be in this together.
dantowen8195113d ago
Iām just not sure if a situation this toxic can realistically be salvaged to be honest - Martin was still getting stick even after beating Stockport Just feels to me that this is doomed
lrandall121013d ago
It looked like theyāre absolutely dominating every game, just canāt score. Surely itās not that bad?
♥ 1
charlesjones13d ago
Fan sentiment will come with performances. Itās chicken and egg. Canāt expect fans to get behind a manager who is making himself look daft.
A much longer international break than usual so what would we like to see when we return? For me, a CB partnership of Kangasniemi and OāHora. Iād also like McFarlane and Bristric back but if the rumours about the pair falling out with Martin are true, that feels less likely. Iād also like to see us be more ruthless in front of goal
antonymmartin8413d ago
They play easy on the eye football but are painfully frustrating to watch in front of goal. I would suggest less touches in the box and more potshots maybe?
chillout14d ago
Wouldnāt you like also to see a new manager ?
markmarston14d ago
I really want to see Chaplin get up to speed⦠I think heās one of the best finishers in the league⦠and boy do we need that right now. He wouldāve had a hat-trick at Barnsley
Totally agree with this⦠what do you think?
sentientsphee14d ago
We consistently played through Barnsley's press over and over, getting many shots and into lots of good positions. That's RM's style in full effect. Unfortunately we didn't take our chances, could've been 3 or 4 up at half time.
♥ 1

Leicester fail to win AGAIN and draw 1-1 with Barnsley... thoughts? š³
sentientsphee14d ago
Great performance, just didn't take our chances
♥ 1
chrisdoyle56715d ago
I donāt think the manager will be around very long
george.patten15d ago
At least things have settled a bit. Last few results have bought Martin time

Khun Top is 'determined' to find the right buyer to protect the legacy of Vichai... it seems he's willing to be patient & may wait to sell if promotion is achieved š¦
markmarston18d ago
Iāve just read Percyās report and it very much sounds like Top was just floating the idea of a sale⦠he was never fully commited unless a monstrous offer came in. I always felt it made little financial sense to sell in League One when the club is at its lowest value. Would not be surprised if he stays on long-term and brings in another outside investment

Khun Top could stay at Leicester after the deadline for bids expired... would you back him to continue as owner? š¤
sentientsphee19d ago
I think the trust is gone, would love if he could turn it around but I don't really believe he can. Hope I'm wrong but I also hope the club can be sold before the end of the season, preferably to American owners who would leave the statue of Vichai in place. Kp are a part of the history of Leicester
♥ 1
callum_boyle19d ago
No I think itās a lost cause. Iāve outlined many times why heās not fit for purpose and nothing will change until him and Rudkin are no longer at the club
markmarston19d ago
Yes I definitely would. Iāve always backed Top & hoped that heād turn things around. Clearly he is responsible for the decline, which was ultimately led by Rudkin for the most part. Heās learned⦠moved Rudkin upstairs & allowed a fresh mind to take the club forward in James McCaron. Martyn Glover is also heavily involved. I would back him to continue š¦

Khun Top has converted Ā£8.5million of funding into equity. Leicester also reiterate that he remains the owner... does this mean he's staying? š
donaghcorby199719d ago
More bad news for Leicester! šš
jordan.harris20d ago
As a neutral, I really hope they manage to sell before they damage the legacy any further. Leicester made all our clubs dream and itās so sad that itās come to this
callum_boyle20d ago
Just shows how much financial trouble weāre in. Not good news and the sooner they sell the better

You're either labelled a happy clapper or a boo-boy... how do we achieve unity in the Leicester fanbase again? š¤
user0c839d9519d ago
Simple donāt boo the players. This is a young team and need time . I totally agree with the change of ownership because there ability to understand what the fans want in respect nobody wanted this style of football. I donāt believe anything will change with fans protesting as that is already been proven with the owners stance on Rudkin .
callum_boyle20d ago
As soon as we get efficient and proper communication from the board and club. Not being treated like crap by then, and the sacking of Jon Rudkin
markmarston20d ago
Ultimately itās about winning mainly⦠that will fix it. It may take time for those who donāt want Martin⦠but eventually it will turn š¤we need to get back to being united as quickly as possible
3 assists for Louis Page on Saturday with Borussia Dortmund reportedly watching in the stands... how much is the 18-year-old worth? š¤
sentientsphee20d ago
Page will go next summer for 20-25m I reckon, hope he helps us get promoted before then
♥ 1
adnan.riaz20d ago
It hurts to see this as a Man Utd fan after this summer. š„²š
jonny21d ago
Important to remember heās playing in League One⦠League One players shouldnāt command more than Ā£20m
The Russell Martin pile on continues⦠itās going too far. 4-3 up away from home against promotion favourites and there are a section of the fanbase chanting against him. Absolutely ridiculous.
callum_boyle22d ago
Yeah, uncomfortable viewing this. I think there rightly has to be concern at the way we almost let a 4-1 lead slip but feels like people are just doing those chants for the sake of having their Instagram moment. Deserves credit for at least bringing Kangasniemi on to see it out. Would like him to partner OāHora at Barnsley next week

A HUGE HUGE HUGE WIN FOR LEICESTER š Give us your thoughts
jordan.harris22d ago
Buys Russ a bit of time, but clearly a lot of work still needs to be done!
daviescallum4222d ago
Jeez, how important might that win prove to be. Still hardly convincing stuff š
markmarston22d ago
GET IN!!! A win šclearly when it clicks we are a good side but too fragile at the back. Need a keeper in the free agent market donāt we. Anyway, weāve waited long enough for a win so Iām not gonna pick holes too much. Page class, Riis a proper goalscorer & Lundstrum is the most physical midfielder weāve had since Ndidi - needed. Onto Barnsley now š¦š

Leicester boss Russell Martin says he can't understand why he receives so much criticism, but why do you think he does?
dantowen8195122d ago
He rubs people up the wrong way, just no ignoring that. The Rangers fans really didnāt take to him from day one. I feel bad for the guy but obviously thereās an issue with his communication
gomatz7723d ago
He spoke like a man that really was worried about himself and his family. Hopefully the game of football finds the right balance between criticising and getting personal about players and coaches
♥ 1
james.brooke23d ago
There is something inheriently unlikeable about him. Some people are just irritating to others, he is one of them sadly for him
25 mins into this Neil Lal interview & I really do not like what Iām hearing. He wants 6-8 ex-footballers picking the manager & players⦠sounds like a complete mess?! He emphasises on multiple occasions that he wonāt be putting plenty of capital into getting us back to the PL⦠more bothered about profit.. Also states heās not really a football person š
callum_boyle24d ago
Yeah, mixed. I like the fact he said he would be in dialogue with the Foxes Trust. Since heād be part of a consortium Iād imagine heād be leading it but not being the main figure. But yes, not overly convinced so far and would need a lot more to feel confident weād be in safe hands

Conor Coady believes Russell Martin deserves more time at Leicester... do you agree?
daviescallum4224d ago
I do not rate Russell Martin one bit
jordan.harris25d ago
Iāve never been a fan of Martin as a manager but there is no upside to sacking him when Leicester are such a mess off the pitch. More money spent on compensation and a new manager with a squad built for Martin did not help Rangers last year!
dantowen8195125d ago
Iām fundamentally against changing managers so soon, especially when they come with such a set philosophy Question is, what if it gets even more toxic in the stands?
How many points will Leicester get from their next five League One games? š¤
callum_boyle24d ago
SHOULD BE 15 Will be 8 Get him gone and get Dave Challinor in
jordan.harris27d ago
6⦠with a managerial change thrown in šš
markmarston27d ago
Iām hoping for a postive reaction vs Stockport which kickstarts a run. 10 points from 15

I still donāt understand how this went so badly wrong. Championship winners in 2014, Premier League winners in 2016, QF of Champions League in 2017 and FA Cup Winners in 2021. Now they are 17th in League One - one point out of the relegation zone. What happened ?
kilham.max29d ago
Just completely calamitous. Martin is clearly not the answer. Embarassing at this point!
peter.lynch29d ago
Unbelievable drop off, truly canāt believe it and Iām sure the fans canāt either, sad to see!
ishaan.bhattacharya29d ago
Honestly, they have not been the same since Vichai passed in 2018. The Leicester we watched a decade ago are long gone and back to the sorry state they spent the decade prior in
Donāt let it ruin your weekendā¦

Leicester lose 4-0 at home to Oxford United! Heās got to go, hasnāt he? š³
lee.connor29d ago
He needs sacking before they tumble further. Heās an utter con man. Half of management is simply that, man management. He canāt do it and you can tell the players think heās useless as well. Dead man walking already.
dantowen8195129d ago
Heās not a manager, hes a social experiment
dale.odonnell29d ago
His days are definitely numbered. Not sure how he keeps getting these jobs.
Had a listen to John Lundstram and Warren OāHoraās interviews⦠sound like proper leaders. Good characters who will drive standards at this football club. Think our recruitment this window has been excellent. A good blend of everything really. Think we are short in goal⦠if Jakub is out long term. Wonder if there are some decent free agents??
No comments yet. Be the first.
Leicester defender Wout Faes could still be on the move despite the transfer window shutting last night...

I dread to think what his wages look like

markmarston33d ago

Leicester FINALLY get their first win in League One. Thoughts on that performance?

Shaky opening period but very solid after that & thought large elements of the second half we really looked like a proper team. Braybrooke outstanding again. My MOTM. Alves and Page also top. CMON LEICESTER!!!!!! š¦š
Appears as though Woyo Coulibaly will remain a Leicester player - his move to Genoa is off.
markmarston33d ago
Weāve been left with a massive wage bill havenāt we⦠Woyo, Faes, Souttar and Okoli all seemingly staying. Have to use them to our advantage within reason. Particularly Woyo and Souttar
The first deadline day signing has been announced as Emil Riis joins Leicester from Bristol City! š¦
markmarston33d ago
Super signing! If heās scoring 12 goals against Championship sides, youād hope he can notch 20 in League One.
Wout Faes' move to West Ham is in major doubt... it looks as though he'll be staying at Leicester.
callum_boyle34d ago
I want him gone. Anyone, please, anyone. Terrible attitude, stinks the place out, doesnāt want to be here, doesnāt respect the fans. Cancel his contract if we have to
markmarston34d ago
I think if Martin is happy with his attitude, which it sounds like he is, then yes absolutely bring him back in. That was the plan all along tbf, think Martin will be happy the deal is off. Heās probably our best centre-back, so you play your best players. Simple as that
As it stands, Louis Page is staying put at Leicester amid strong links to Manchester United! Been some deadline day so far š
markmarston34d ago
This would be just as good if not better than a signing. Top player with a bright future!
