Understandably there’s a lot of negativity around the club, but isn’t it time for fans, players and manager to band together to help get Leicester promoted? The fans need to fully get behind the team and give the manager a break. The manager needs to be a bit more pragmatic, flexible tactics-wise and shift his media tone. Everyone must be in this together.

I’m just not sure if a situation this toxic can realistically be salvaged to be honest - Martin was still getting stick even after beating Stockport Just feels to me that this is doomed

lrandall12101w ago

It looked like they’re absolutely dominating every game, just can’t score. Surely it’s not that bad?

markmarston1w ago

It’s not as bad as being made out no… performances in recent weeks have defo improved. Should’ve beat MK Dons and Barnsley… poor finishing

charlesjones1w ago

Fan sentiment will come with performances. It’s chicken and egg. Can’t expect fans to get behind a manager who is making himself look daft.

dakir.thanveer1w ago

Russell Martin will struggle to rally the club to be honest. I feel for the guy, but think things will get worse for him at Leicester soon enough

paddy1w ago

Martin is not good enough. He talks a good game. Just like he did in Glasgow, hea getting exposed again at Leicester

chillout1w ago

I get that - but Leicester surely can’t afford to change manager again (not least for financial reasons). Surely it’s in everyone’s interests to try and make it work; give it the best chance ?

tom.procter1w ago

It’s time everyone pulled in one direction yes. That will probably be hard for some Leicester fans which I do get to an extent, but not sure promotion will be possible against a backdrop of fury

chillout1w ago

Fans will be even more furious if the club continues to struggle on the pitch. To be fair, its not all fans. I think the manager needs to come out and show he is a leader - engage with fans, admit mistakes, set out what he is trying to achieve and ask for support. I think fans would respond positively to that approach.

Great gif!

markmarston1w ago

I’ve thought about this a lot recently because the fanbase is so divided right now, it’s really sad to see. The only way to get some unity back & support for the manager/team is just to win football games, simple as that. And, in fairness, we’ve seen Russell Martin’s system starting to click. The performances are getting better. Think we could motor on 🦊

chillout1w ago

Do you still see promotion on the cards this season.

jamie.theodosi1w ago

The manager would eat himself if he was made of chocolate. As a Leicester fan I would find it really hard to get behind him.

chillout1w ago

But I think fans need to be bigger than that. They will be fans long after Martin has gone. But I do think it’s a two way street and Martin needs to come out and acknowledge the issues in a polished and professional way.

markmarston1w ago

He’s confident in himself - clearly - but isn’t that what every football manager should be like? The attack against his character is just baffling to me. Just a herd of sheep following the trend. This isn’t at you btw, but wish more people would just form their own opinion irrelevant of the consensus. It’s just a trend to pile on at this point

kyle.archer1w ago

Leicester fans will be behind their team - it is up to the players and the manager to deliver performances that keeps the atmopshere positive.

chillout1w ago

It does feel like all the fans are behind their team. That’s my point.

george.patten1w ago

Think he’s bought himself some time with the last couple of results. Can’t stand the bloke but if he can get them up then as a Leicester fan you’d take that

callum_boyle1w ago

Even then it’s only half the job done. Club are aiming for 90 points which has only seen one side promoted out of League One in the last five seasons. Based on our PPG atm we’re estimated to finish on 54. Needs to be a near faultless season from now on
