Conor Coady believes Russell Martin deserves more time at Leicester... do you agree?

daviescallum423w ago

I do not rate Russell Martin one bit

jordan.harris3w ago

I’ve never been a fan of Martin as a manager but there is no upside to sacking him when Leicester are such a mess off the pitch. More money spent on compensation and a new manager with a squad built for Martin did not help Rangers last year!

This is spot on mate

I’m fundamentally against changing managers so soon, especially when they come with such a set philosophy Question is, what if it gets even more toxic in the stands?

callum_boyle3w ago

He is the easiest manager in the world to set up against. In an interview he once said his plan B is to do Plan A better. There isn’t even one of those. His arrogance is beyond the mark and his style is outdated

markmarston3w ago

It got toxic with Arteta out and now look… takes a strong ownership to block out the noise… within reason of course

george.patten3w ago

I see his point, but don’t think it’s outrageous to expect results quick when you’re a team that’s been in the prem as recently as a couple of years ago. If you rebuild in the championship and take a few thumpings, fair enough. But 4-0 to Oxford in League one… Come on

callum_boyle3w ago

I agree. Leicester needed a quick start and Russell Martin sides don’t do that. He’s already slagged off the youngsters too, even though it’s the experienced ones causing the problems

markmarston3w ago

Yeah I agree to an extent - I was anticipating a better start & we should be beating teams at this level… but at the same time, just because we are Leicester City doesn’t mean we won’t lose games this year. Ok Oxford was a really bad one, but breaking news, we will drop points this year no matter who’s in charge. Let’s see if we improve… I hope we will

markmarston3w ago

He’s right… we know Martin’s teams start slow so he deserves time to turn things around. It’s a young group he’s inherited so it was never going to be plain sailing
