It's not completely up to the team to advise. If the athlete doesn't communicate about being tired or partially injured, the coach will probably say to keep playing.

Honestly, I don't understand what kind of coaches or managers have some of the best tennis players. After Monte Carlo it was crazy and dumb that Alcaraz played an important tournament like Barcelona (no offense). And yet, presumably, nobody from his team advised him to rest until Madrid or Rome. This is so preposterous. same happened to

I meant, "unimportant". Same thing happened to Nadal in several occasions and as a result he suffered several unnecessary injuries. Rest is a fundamental part of an athlete. But they are very often terribly advised !

I don't think it's a foregone conclusion at all. Plenty can happen at a Grand Slam!

Think an absolute PEAK Zverev or Djokovic could take him out. Or his body could fail him…

I think this is a HUGE opportunity for Zverev & Djokovic. Will never get a bigger chance
