← Ineos / Sir Jim Ratcliffe

What is your honest opinion of Jason Wilcox and his role as director of football?

tinotendakambadza6963mo ago

After Ederson we need another 2 midfielders back up of mainoo and de link who replace Casemiro

tinotendakambadza6963mo ago

His too slow on negotiation deals

jeremywong0076mo ago

He is weak.. CV / resume not fit the role. Just unfit... will you listen to your operation director , who not even manage a team before. .when you are a Gerenal Manager from competitor, and hired to run the company and report to this Director. U ok ?

Glazers out for sure, the rebuild must be the most comprehensive in our long and proud history, I feel for Amorim as he's entitled to feel screwed, had to make managerial decisions in clearing out the toxic culture with no thanks whatsoever, never properly backed with the player's I'm sure he was promised as ones who would have fit his "system"...

pomdotcom788mo ago

Might not have been classic United but we'll never know, I think he's every right to expect players to be uber fit at this level and even more so expect absolute effort and commitment for 97 mins once a week and in training. I think it was dynamic and reactive "system".. When we were good we were very very good!

zeke.wolf428mo ago

He was probably a good Technical Director, but as DoF I've not seen much. He does at least understand that Amorim's style wasn't what suited United. Time will tell, but Berrada and Sir Rat are the real problem

stephenjholmes8mo ago

The reality nowadays is that, you need experience throughout the structure. The recruitment model has changed for the better, and should start to pay off. I think the coaching now needs to improve

standleytelusma1578mo ago

He needs a football iq serum

irenekhoocc8mo ago

Total shambles.

brian_royle8mo ago

Get him out

henry.haynes9mo ago

Until the Glazers have Completely sold up im afraid the Curse will still be there Ineos have kept them in power. As no good will come of their model im afraid we wont raised from this situation as they tarnished the club from top to bottom with their making profit but not putting

cwalker141598mo ago

How would it help to lose the Glazers? They don't do anything anymore, just collect their dividends. Owners aren't allowed to subsidise teams now so what's the point of hoping for a different billionaire to by the club?

davidevitts329mo ago

Never win anything of any substance whilst Wilcox is there interfering- you cannot av 2 Cooks at that level

bfayiamalcolm9mo ago

what is the difference between been man. united manager and head coach? so ruben is a cause of his problem he failed to accept his philosophical mistakes. bearing in mind that united club is not a place of finding experience.

pslott9mo ago

Suppose that it really is too early, he's definitely not made the best start. The whole Ineos-Ashworth-Amorim situation has been laughable, and if I supported another team I'd be laughing, which I don't so I'm actually crying inside (nearly!). But this s**t show has to stop....

tomunyrose9mo ago

I guess we don't know enough about the dynamics of his role in relation the Head Coach but clearly Amorim wanted to be more than the head coach and hence he picked a fight that he would never win. I think Wilcox will 'know his place' when we appoint a coach who knows his and does

soni.lifted9mo ago

The INEOS/Glazers should allow the manager to recruit, play any formation- whether it's 3-4-3, 4-4-2 provided MUN continue to win. Frequent interferences by the owners in the manager's routine have been a major setback to Man U though Amorim deserves no pity for being too proud!

theo9.philus9mo ago

Well, they allowed him to play his formation. What was the outcome? Buying players from EPL clubs is very expensive. Cherki cost Man City only £34m as opposed to Cunha's £74m. Cherki and Cunha are similar kind of players

tf2320869mo ago

I do think that INEOS are doing OK for the club, but they knew the system that Amorim was bringing here, and it's not the UNITED way. 4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 is the United way. We the fans need a Manager/Coach that will play this way, and willing to change to suit.

stephenjholmes8mo ago

4-4-2 with flying wingers is the United way. That is where we need to be again. A solid central midfield pairing with a solid Roy Keane type, complimented by the flair Scholsey type!
