Has the Hill Dickinson Stadium brought new problems for Everton fans? 😬
Season ticket prices are expected to rise for next season 💰

One complaint in 26 thousand, really. Male football clubs of that standard can only dream of playing in a stadium like that. Getting bored with this now it's not your gender but your level that dictates pay and stadia available. So the youth teams should be paid the same as women going by their logic. Games gone mad😁

Sky or tnt sceduling so many monday night games shows just where their priorities lie and its not with paying supporters. They would be happy for stadiums to be empty and just use canned cheering as long as their product is ok.
richiekodak794mo ago
What has done my head in is to many Monday night games , been told it could increase through lack of games, we might have had. I miss the Monday games I work. Moneys talks or at least TV money does. If this carries on I will give up my season ticket.
mark.marston4mo ago
It's ridiculous mate... hopefully the PL address that issue
tom.procter4mo ago
Yeah so many Monday games in the season just gone and next season could be similar. Suspect many others will be in the exact same boat as you! Nightmare
gary.trotter20264mo ago
The average supporter just doesn't get a say. Sky will have you playing anytime they like, no early morning kick offs just yet but sure there's a market ! Difficult to justify a season ticket if you can't with any certainty know when the games being played. Midweek games just make it impossible.
brogan4mo ago
Unfortunately just the way football is now Gary. The Monday night games have been an absolute killer all year long. Saw earlier in the week so many fans had issues after the game too

As an ex Evertonian ? For what the ticket price is & what your watching ? It's massively over priced ? Everton should pay the fans to go in & still make a huge profit bcos of Sky ????

Premium is fair enough pay if you want to, thousands of season tickets have been in the same hands for decades, premium give others a chance to see the team. The comment "everton fans" as opposed to "evertonians" is devisive, all fans are evertonians and love the club.
brogan5mo ago
Do you reckon it's fair that there's the option to pay big and bypass the commitment needed to earn the right to secure tickets for these games? I think a lot of fans struggle with that aspect of it
neilpurcell315mo ago
Your right brogan, there’s plenty of donuts at this club😂
brogan5mo ago
🤣🤣🤣
edwardsrobert5895mo ago
I remember going to Goodison Park when it was £5 or less, program and a 🥧 Pie, I loved going on the coach from Llandudno with a great bunch of fans. But these days you need to have a great overdraft and an understanding partner.
brogan5mo ago
You wouldn't even get a donut at the new ground with a crisp fiver
alan.caionna5mo ago
I prefer “challenges” to “problems” 70 years of age, been going to Goodison since 1963, season ticket 30 yes. we had to change and move forward. The world of football has been facing new ‘challenges’ for a while. I’d like to hear from a 70 year old City fan. How is he feeling right now? I’m feeling a little emotionally detached atm.
brogan5mo ago
Do you think that is because of the stadium or just the way football is currently? Everton may be on the up, but I think football as a product is at an all-time low currently with VAR and rising costs
dusters215mo ago
Everton hike in prices probably couldn't have picked a worse time the uk is now paying monster prices for fuel & Energy but the high end earners surrounding the club wouldn't have thought about that as it probably doesn't affect them just hammer the fans.
brogan5mo ago
Exactly. There is a clear lack of reading the room done. It will generate the club an extra couple of million in revenue at a time when they made almost £3m from selling personalised bricks for outside of the stadium

Should be looking at a tram line from airport thro south liverpool onto renshaw st Lime st down tk pierhead and then thro liverpool waters till 2 or 3 hundeds yards from stadiumand out into bootle and onto crosby, might happen by 2060!

Season tickets are rising for all clubs in all sports. This yet another rubbish article clogging my space.
brogan5mo ago
But match-going fans are on the verge of being priced out attending games. Do you think fans should just sit back and accept it?
davebroadhurst19555mo ago
I work at both HD and Goodison and it is chalk and cheese. HD is stunning and once the local infrastructure catches up the whole experience will be amazing
brogan5mo ago
Spoke to a Sunderland fan over the weekend and that's almost exactly what he said after visiting HD. Loved the stadium but said the area around it is just a bit behind
neilpurcell315mo ago
Like it or move on.
brogan5mo ago
Should not be the position fans are put in, though. Absolutely no reason for hard-working fans to have to foot the bill for billionaire owners who have seen a huge spike in their revenue. If you push these types of fans out you will very quickly end up with a situation like Spurs where your stadium is filled with day trippers
rogerdavidwilliams475mo ago
Season ticket holder for 20+ years. I have a month to decide whether or not to renew.
mark.marston5mo ago
How you currently feeling about renewing?
gfosterjennings5mo ago
They're not really thinking about the fans are they? They just care about collecting more money for themselves. By raising prices, they are keeping fans away.
brogan5mo ago
I know most clubs are doing it, but with the costs involved in attending football they are really pushing fans right to their very limit given the way the world is currently
mkevans776mo ago
I think the Freidkin Group need to remember our History. If ever there was an opportunity to keep the GOODISON name alive, it is Surely the naming of the Home supporters end, as opposed to the current non descript South Stand. So please can we have it named GOODISON END, just as other Stadiums have Stretford End, Holt End etc.
brogan6mo ago
I think that's a good shout. Or would you go with a former manager/player instead?
andrewclare6mo ago
I remember going to games in the mid sixties seeing people who looked very poor ( they probably looked at me and thought the same) attending the matches and enjoying themselves. Not just at Goodison but at other grounds too.
brogan6mo ago
I saw something the other day about the doughnuts on sale for the Scotland game... £6.50 each?!?!?! Imagine taking two kids and spending £13 on two doughnuts - madness
davemount176mo ago
Getting on abit so love the stadium hate the walk to and from the ground
brogan6mo ago
Don't think anyone will argue against that, Dave. By far the biggest issue suffered with the new ground
davibush6mo ago
I've loved the stadium from the first minute. I'm in my dotage and watched Everton at Goodison for over 6 decades. I'd never swap Hill Dickinson for Goodison. I have my memories , but football is always about the next match... and I'd rather watch it in luxury than a lovely but old stadium . I enjoy the walk from town too.
connollygary1686mo ago
Yes not good mate
dave_tinagratz6mo ago
Yes they are I live in Devon now,I had a chance for the Burnley game but 72 quid hotel etc etc bit too much would of gone into hundreds of pounds
mark.marston6mo ago
Real shame that Dave
