Who is the greater driver, Sebastian Vettel or Max Verstappen?

Verstappen win by total car dominance 2022-2024. The same as Lewis 2014- 2015.

It blows my mind that Lewis Hamilton is not in this conversation. Somethings wrong. People seem to think that Lewis won only because of his car. Well I'll remind them that he been winning since he was a kid, not just with the Mercedes car. What has Max done now that everyone has caught up with the Red Bull car in the current era. +only 3 real championships!

Vettel has the plus of being a nice guy and more complete driver. Max just drives 'foot down' that's why he was complaining about the new system..he can't stick his foot down to the floor... too many other things to do now with these cars! Ha!ha!ha!!

EVHowever, as posted above, some types of car don't suit some drivers... Max is unhappy with this car, Lewis was unhappy with the GF series... But of course I understand that most posters here regard Lewis as a has been.... But it's the car's fault, not Max's... That's why I don't often bother with these pages...

I think the gap narrows significantly if Max never masters this era, the same way Seb was never the same in the turbo hybrid era. Max for now though

Both were/are exceptional talent, but I've just edged it with Max. Vettel was unbeatable on his day but Verstappen just has that sixth sense in an F1 car and can extract absolutely everything. One of the best ever

Talent wise Vettel, Skill wise Verstappen, Stats wise Verstappen. But both have deficiencies (when compared to a hardcore racer like Lewis), Vettel made wrong decisions and Max broke the team + Max won't race long enough to get to 7 WDCs. Ultimately both are GOATs of F1 in their own eras respectively.

I actually think you have a point, but I wouldn't be so sure about Max not being around to win 7. Not saying he will, but even if he does retire, he could pull an Alonso, come back, and then do what neither Alonso nor Schumacher did - win after retirement.

Verstappen takes it for me. Vettel is a worthy four-time champion, but Max could win double that if he stays in F1 long enough
