Was Michael Masi unfairly treated over how Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton to win the 2021 F1 title?

czechfog18361mo ago

Yes. He made mistakes, but they should have looked at the entire situation with teams being able to contact him at that time. He was strong on track safety and I liked that about him.

I don’t see how. He changed the rules in a way that very obviously gave an advantage to one driver over another. It was a change that had never been seen in any other race that season yet he chose to do it for this one. He ignored the fact that it could fundamentally change the outcome of the race, OR he did it because it would? We may never know.

No it was an absolute disgrace what happened to lewis hamilton if it had been done properly and max won then nobody could have complained as max raced well all season but you the procedure at that time was a disgrace

No. I'm no gynecologist, but I know a dumb c**t when I see one. Rescind the bogus shampionship they gifed to Max and restore it to its rightful owner, Sir Lewis Hamilton nd perhaps F1 can regain some form of legitimacy.

No no no masi blatantly robbed lewis that would never have happened if Charlie whiting had been in charge he would have slammed the door in red bulls face "rules are rules," not for entertainment purposes

People where hurt and FiA needed someone to blame for their actions

george.patten5mo ago

Yes I don’t think he should’ve lost his job for it

Of course, the personal attacks by F1 fans at the time were not warranted at all, but he showed that he couldn't stay calm under pressure which is a key trait needed for race directors. I'm so interested in what Whiting would have done in that same situation.
