Can someone tell me why this wasn't a penalty? 😤
barbaramurray19675mo ago
Definitely a penalty. How can that be accidental. Typically referees give one decision to one team and another to another team. Bies or what. Disgusting decision not to give everton a definitely penalty.
brogan5mo ago
Disgraceful refereeing! There's a handful of names that should not be allowed to take charge of Everton games
tom.holt.is5mo ago
[DELETED] Double penalty as as he had both arms around him holding him back too. Seems as though the refs were thinking two wrongs make a right? 🤷🏼♂️
brogan5mo ago
Premier League statement was just a slap in the face. Not surprised but what an absolute joke
david.woodward.nsno5mo ago
No penalty for 'accidental' handball, but why not for "grappling"?! Is the Premier League run by WWE now?!
brogan5mo ago
You missed the fine print: *rules apply to selected sides
5wwb972sr45mo ago
Yea vr obvious penalty
bobbeeez5mo ago
Im sorry to say this But Moyes stubborness is starting to annoy me,, barry should not have been on the pitch, mcneil should not have been on the pitch,, but he could have player George or dibling today... Did moyes say he wanted Dibling and George,, if he did he either has fallen out with them and so making there lives hell
mark.marston5mo ago
Fair point Bobb. The way he's handling the young players will result in future targets thinking twice about joining...
rhsmyth5mo ago
Totally agree moysey stubborness or illogical thinking has done my head in most of season with his persistance at RB and selections and subs . Best signing in summet Iraola
patrickohare785mo ago
Certain refs obviously hav a vendetta against us that's 2 games in a row that refs & VAR hav blatantly done us yet nothing happens
williamsdave9595mo ago
Cos it's Everton!
brogan5mo ago

joe.bromwich5mo ago
No-one can discount that handball, for any reason.Try explaining why Wilson's goal wasn't written off, for one of his own team was in the Everton net, behind Pickford? Or, is Atwell trying to oubend Cavanagh?
rod.525mo ago
Because he’s off the field of play. Let’s face it though, whenever Pickford is given the armband he is useless never made any attempt at both their goals. Can’t be bothered most of them to Referees never going to get anything off them League have given their orders to them.Don’t give EFC anything 🤬🤬🤬
brogan5mo ago
Joe, there won’t be one person in the media who can provide me a reason why that shouldn’t be a penalty. Well maybe Dermot Gallagher on Sky on Monday…
julielawrence7445mo ago
Told you before Brogan, there is a conspiracy aimed at my team!! and nothing will change until the Premier League, are taken to take!!!!!
brogan5mo ago
How can paid ‘professionals’ look at replays of the handball and still think it wasn’t a penalty??
julielawrence7445mo ago
Taken to task!!!
williamsdave9595mo ago
It's cos it's Everton the list just goes on and on premier league just think we're a soft touch?
brogan5mo ago
Same thing every week. We should be used to it by now but it stings
michaelbrown.ifa15mo ago
It want a penalty cos the gormless ref and var decided whilst everyone else including the West Ham manager thought it was the ref needs to be rested until he understands the rules Atwood has always been useless and today gave more concrete to the statement he is useless. Wearing any teams colours against us. Even the commentators were aghast at that decision
brogan5mo ago
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say it wasn’t a penalty. No doubt Dermot Gallagher will stick up for his mate on Monday morning on Sky though
michaelbrown.ifa15mo ago
Wasn’t not was but i cannot correct it painful so very painful
colinbell19585mo ago
Because Stuart Atwell was the ref, nearly as anti-Everton as Kavanagh
ajmiller17th5mo ago
Heard the announcement from FA? "yes, it was handball but he didn't mean it, so it doesn't count" wtaf, most handballs are unintentional but they are still given. Obviously the FA, refs and VAR have clear agenda against Everton, what other explanation can there possibly be?? They hell bent on not letting Everton force their way into Europe, PL seems fixed.
bobbeeez5mo ago
i agree even if they dont normally mean it they decide on the position of the arms or was the body leaning into it,, he clearly tapped the ball with his hand, no idea how that can be justified and no corner to boot lol
phillipsandersonhaigh5mo ago
Yet AGAIN ! Everton denied a penalty ! What use is VAR !! It was a clear handball, everyone could see it , everyone except VAR ! A penalty then should have been enough for three valuable points in their chase for a European spot. Last week AGAIN ! VAR denied Everton a clear penalty !!!!! How many times has this happened this season????? Davie Moyes must
brogan5mo ago
Absolutely not mate. The standard of refereeing is really harming the game for me. I think the 'watchability' of football in recent years has never been lower. It is just constant poor decision after poor decision. And then when you finally get something going for you they spend 7 minutes looking over it on VAR to find a reason to disallow it
brogan5mo ago
I honestly don't know what to say anymore. If that isn't a penalty then what are we even doing anymore? You CANNOT punch the football
ptrckbennett5mo ago
Brought my son to his first PL game today and our last! Grown adults can't understand why that wasn't a blatant penalty let alone try to explain it to a kid at his first game!! The PL need to be brought to book for yet again showing their bias in games.. Shame on you PL!!! 😡😡😡
brogan5mo ago
Well having been to that stadium before I'm sorry that ground was his first experience. I hope you were sat in the lower tier because that upper tier is about three miles away from the pitch
calum_jones5mo ago
Clear pen. Robbed again.
brogan5mo ago

origiskaus5mo ago
Because the ref and VAR watchers don't like Everton! What these characters get away with is mystifying - not to say disgraceful!
mcintyre92175mo ago
Exactly what i said m8
brogan5mo ago
Have you ever seen anything like it? He punched the ball 🤣
mcintyre92175mo ago
Cos were everton how many times do these things happen to us i swear refs and v a r have got it in for us
brogan5mo ago
It's every week mate. Lost count of how many decisions haven't gone our way and don't get me started on Stuart Attwell as ref
diydadx605mo ago
Impossible, within the rules, for a pen to be denied. He put the ball out of play with his hand. Utterly, utterly incredulous decision.
brogan5mo ago
Every week... every week. How did the lino not see it and how did VAR not overturn it?
gramorris5mo ago
And are we saying sticking your arms around a player like that is a natural position?
gramorris5mo ago
Apparently you can handball while in the process of grabbing and holding an opponent
barbaramurray19675mo ago
Moyes is to blame for today's loss. Leaving Barry on all game. Told you if Moyes players him up front we would lose. Moyes is not the manager to take us forward. And why wasn't is a penalty. Again vendetta against us typically referees
