I would actually say Marquez. Rossi is similar to Verstappen for me - formidable but crossed the line too often

Has to be Rossi. Marquez has his strengths, such as braking and corner entry, but the way Valentino rode on track was nothing short of incredible

Have to disagree. When it comes to physical racecraft I think both of them are equal however psychological racecraft is another matter & in this area Marc is untouchable

The 'thing' about Val (and Marc) ..was/is their ability to 'carry' the bike or ride around problems. Possibly not so today with all the aero, gimmicks, ride height, etc., but you could/can always count on them being in the fight. Pedro has this as well, pushes well beyond the bikes capabilities. Looking forward to next year with less aero, no ride height

Valentino Rossi's racecraft was one of his absolute best strengths (and you would struggle to find any real weaknesses in it, even if Marc Marquez forced Vale to play with the limits at times).
