Ben Stokes has ruled out playing for England again but would love to be a coach. How would you feel about him taking the top job in the future?

Until he proves himself as a coach, he’ll be waiting a very long time. The likes of Trott will get a chance far quicker

I still think he will play again. Yes, he is ruling it out now. But he is still raw about everything that happened. I can see him changing his mind next year when the dust has settled, but I do feel Rob Key needs to be out of the picture for that to happen.

He will be back at some point. He won't be able to say no in the future.

Not a chance. Hasn’t been disciplined enough as a player to warrant a job like that.

I’d love him to return as coach but only after he proves he’s good at it

If you're good enough, you're old enough applies to coaches too

Like the idea, but reserving judgement until he’s coached somewhere

Why not? He clearly knows the setup better than most and boasts more playing experience than most too. He’d be great for a team party too 👀
