Who is the face of Boxing? For me it’s AJ. I think that Jake Paul fight made him a household name in the States, and we know he’s already a superstar in the UK.

Jake Paul had no right being in a ring with AJ, the writing was all over the wall, and to walk away with a broken jaw for me was very lucky indeed. AJ is a complete package, the gypsy king can throw a punch and take a punch but who wants it more???? Who has the most to prove, at this point I'd have to say Tyson Fury is the underdog

Worldwide it’s got to be Canelo right?

Surely it us Usyk. Undefeated at Heavy and Cruiser weights. Has taken on and beaten a lot of big names.

Hmmm I’m not so sure uno. How many casuals switch on a Canelo fight in the UK or in Europe?

Probably Usyk or Fury. Both globally recognised, especially the latter, even if inactive. People like Bivol, Boots, Shakur, Garcia, even Inoue and Bam are probably not the faces of the sport purely because they’re not heavyweights

It’s a shame Bam and Inoue aren’t bigger. The lower weight classes struggle to draw mass audiences. Although Inoue is absolutely huge in Japan

Definitely agree with the heavyweight point. Lightweights/featherweights etc have to do so much more to become household names than the big hitting heavyweights

I’m not entirely sure I agree. Just think AJ is a bit past it. Maybe if he had made that American breakthrough in his prime instead of when he’s struggling against Prenga… The name that immediately came to mind for me was Canelo. Not sure if others agree?

Canelo is huge no doubt and one of the biggest but I’m just not sure how big he is outside of the America and Mexico. I do get what your saying with AJ, that Ruiz loss didn’t help. But everyone now knows who he is over the pond. That Netflix fight did 40m views or something crazy
